Please note that ssg you are obligated to play a game with them every quarter ie 4 times a year or they say bye bye to you.

Check out the cost of each game and add that to the total cost. It is no longer very cheap. Do not join for wrong reason.

That said, it is a great place if you like participating in such monthly medals

NSRCC Exec is a Par 3 course so you are allowed double bogey for every hole... still not easy but manageable, so don't stress yourself too much... cheers!

Hi crystal, if the test is conducted at nsrcc executive course, it's par 3 course. no fear. At 45, it's 5 strokes per hole. 3rd and 9th cos got water hazard. If u can hit driver or 3 wood about 130m should be able to make it across. Just pray no strong winds. familarise yourself, have a couple of game there. Weekend 9 hole $42.50 w/o trolley rental. Walk-in. Have fun and enjoy your test. Remember to repair divot, rake bunker. U can make it.

if it is NSRCC exec course, it's all par 3's holes...

if u already have a PC, i suggest u guys/gals shld play there at least once to try out (PC can play liao)

"normally" they won't test u for all 9 holes, most prob abt 4-5 holes...
scores are not top priority for them but like wat amny bro's here mention.... golf etiquette (something tht NSRCC tester very particular)...

juz play norm, relax, and enjoy.....

enjoy n good luck. Smile

The fee per game is range from S$115 to S$135 per game (all inclusive).
There r games on monthly basis sometimes in S'pore usually on Thursday & sometimes in Batam/Bintan usually on Sat. U choose the month that suit u best to participate. So long as u hv 4 games w them in a year.

Personally my feel is that SSG is a club meant for serious golfers who wants to improve their game & maintain their handicap. There r quite strict on handicap maintenance. If u do not meet the handicap requirement, they will remove your name temporilary till u back in the game again. The annual fee is S$70 w handicap maintenance. Insurance is optional. So is really depends on what u guys are looking for. Hope the info is sufficient. If not go to the website for further info at www.singaporegolfers.org

Hi guys, gals

A few of us are going for handicap test org by Society of Spore Golfers by end of Jan 2010.
We are a bit concerned when we read that in order to pass the test , one needs to attain a score of 45 and below ....

As we are real beginners , our scores most likely are going to be more than 45 , are we going to fail ??? So far has anyone fail HCP test before ? I dun wan to be the first to fail ! Laughing

Hope to hear from u guys soon. cheers

Thanks

Aiyo Crystal, no need to worry so much. Although on record is 45 but they usually only test u on 4 to 5 holes to determine your standard. So long as every ball can fly 50M they will pass u lah. Good Luck!

45 on a par 27 course means you can double bogey everything. It is not that difficult. With some good shots you might even have a par or 2. good luck!

Hi,

NSRCC Exec course, apart from carrying across water on holes 3 and 9, hole 5 got lots of sand to the left and hole 6 tee off from bunker. (the sand can get quite hard if it rains)

There are a few holes which are easy to par if you hit straight off the tee. e.g. hole 1, 2 and 8.

Not to worry, even if sway sway kenna water, both holes 3 and 9 got drop zone.

Good luck!
