Wrist injury - need help!

Was playing golf a couple of days ago, while suffering from a severe lack of sleep, and i hit a super fat shot with my 4 iron. Huge chunk of turf flew out, accompanied by immediate pain on the back of my right wrist, in particular the area where the little bone from the fourth finger connects to the forearm. The next day it swelled, and until now it still hurts when i flex it backwards.

Did some research on the net and found out it's probably tendonitis, which can be relieved by sleeping with a wrist brace. Any idea where i can find it? Or what it looks like?

Does anyone know of a self therapy which might work?

Hi, i do not think it is a tendonitis. Tendonitis is normally a chronic problem due to overuse. Yours is acute. It is most likely a sprain. Basically some or in serious cases, entire of your muscle fibres or ligaments are torn. That causes the swelling. Go see a doc to get some anti inflammatory medication and rest. While it is swollen, it is also more prone to tearing due to fluid just like wet hair. Swelling is our body's protective mechanism to restrict movement thus do not force it.

Better see a doc soon. You may even need a scan as a complete tear will not heal and require surgery

local gp should be okie head of this year hurt my finger and my doc give me steroid jap. Rest for ant a month back to before

Since you are covered by by saf, i would actually suggest you get a referral to see a specialist just to make sure. It is probably just a sprain. However you can never rule out a complete tear unless you do a scan.
