| I am trying to put together a group buy for Monument Golf magnetic rangefinder strap. More information on the product can be found here (Monument Golfer).
At the moment, they only ship within USA/Canada as international shipping costs are prohibitively expensive. However, if we can consolidate sufficient interest in the product, they are willing to consolidate and ship them all together in order to save on shipping.
Update: Monument Golf has reverted with their final offer of USD280 including shipping, or USD28 per unit.
Please register your FIRM interest here in this thread. Once we have the numbers, I can get Monument Golf to give us a more accurate quote, and then we can decide if we want to proceed. Please only register your interest only if you are really keen to proceed, thanks for your understanding.
Payment wise, I'll need to collect a SGD30 deposit upfront as I'll be making payment in full via my credit card. I apologise that the deposit has to be nearly the full item amount as I have experienced in organising previous group-buys, that there are minority black-sheeps who would go MIA, or take forever to collect and make payment.
Once the SGD amount is reflected in my card statement, I'll update everyone of the actual figure. The balance in SGD terms is to be paid upon collection. Collection and payment is to be made within 30 days after arrival or I reserve the right to forfeit your deposit (unless prior arrangement is made).
Eg. Credit card transaction value SGD395 Item value 395 / 10 = SGD39.50 Deposit paid SGD30 Payable upon collection = 39.50 - 30 = SGD9.50
Disclaimer 1: There is a chance the FX rate may move against our favour and we may be still slapped with GST. Disclaimer 2: I am not making any margins on this, just hoping to score a decent deal for fellow golfers. Full disclosure will be made pertaining to the invoicing/GST/FX.
Eg 2. Customs determine CIF value to be SGD405 Credit card transaction value SGD395 GST applied 405 * 7% = SGD28.35 Item value (395 + 28.35) / 10 = SGD42.35 Deposit paid SGD30 Payable upon collection = 42.35 - 30 = SGD12.35

Not sure how heavy is each unit but at 100USD for shipping it sounds like it is quite ex. If you guys want I can use my comgateway account but not sure if it is cheaper. Maybe can ask the shipping weight then I can do a comparison.

Hi, thanks for arranging. This is ridiculous quote from the dealer. ComGateway is indeed an option.

| Using the Vpost zip code and Monument Golf's local postage calculator, it looks like it's USD5 for 1 unit and USD15 for 10 units. I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship the 10 units back to Singapore via Vpost/Borderlinx/ComGateWay.
I was going to ask my relative to do it for me but we can't estimate the shipping if it's >1 unit, so I wouldn't be able to advise everyone beforehand until we have already purchased them from Monument Golf.
Breakdown for 10 units (in USD)
1) Via Monument Golf,
Cost of 10 units - 200 Shipping - 100 Total - 300
This is 30 each, shipped to Singapore.
2) Via Vpost,
Cost of 10 units - 250 Local postage - 15 Shipping - 25 (estimated) Total - 290
This is 29 each, shipped to Singapore.
3) Via individual order,
Cost per unit - 25 Local postage - 5 Shipping - 13 (estimated) Total - 43
This is 43 each, shipped to Singapore.
Depending on how much Vpost/Borderlinx/ComGateWay charges for shipping, it's actually not that much different from what is offered by Monument Golf, except we save on the hassle of rerouting because Monument Golf will ship direct.
Anyhow, let me know if you guys are still keen. In the meantime, I'll try and ask Monument Golf for the dimensions and shipping weight for 10 units so we can price up shipping.
Cheers.

| hmmm . . . looks like direct from Monument is a more straightforward option considering not much price difference.
Just curious on how come depending on shipping the unit price different one.
Anyway count me in for USD30 or thereabout.

| If order from Monument Golf minimum of 10 units, they have given us $5 off each unit, ie. $25-$5=$20. If we order directly off the website, it's $25 per unit (rounded up from $24.95). | |

| Monument Golf has responded with shipping weight for 10 units is approximately 3lbs or 1.37kg. They are unable to provide any dimensions until they are actually packed.
Based on Vpost's charges, if we round the package up to 2kg, this should cost SGD31.60 for air freight.
Breakdown for 10 units (in USD)
1) Via Monument Golf,
Cost of 10 units - 200 Shipping - 100 Total - 300
This is USD30 each, shipped to Singapore but with possibility of additional 7% GST.
2) Via Vpost,
Cost of 10 units - 250 Local postage - 15 Shipping - 25 (estimated) Total - 290
This is USD29 each, shipped to Singapore but with possibility of additional 7% GST.
3) Via individual order,
Cost per unit - 25 Local postage - 5 Shipping - 13 (estimated) Total - 43
This is USD43 each, shipped to Singapore.
I have asked Monument Golf for a further discount to USD280 shipped, in order to maintain the invoice value under SGD400 so we can save on the 7% GST. Let's see their response and we can decide then. If they are agreeable with USD280, this would mean,
Cost of 10 units - 180 Shipping - 100 Total - 280
This is USD28 each, shipped to Singapore, which would be the most favourable to us.

| Alright folks, Monument Golf has responded that they are agreeable with US280 for 10pcs, shipped to Singapore. This should keep the figure just under the SGD400 mark so we (hopefully) won't be hit with GST.
We are still 2 pax short of 10, perhaps you folks may want to check with your fellow kakis if anyone else is keen.

| I m keen but I may have an issue with the size. I m using pro x7 which is much bigger than the normal v3 or z6 bushnell. Although the velcro is adjustable, I am trying to check it if it is suitable.
Just a side note as I just noticed:- Milkem mentioned earlier
2) Via Vpost,
Cost of 10 units - 250 (Suppose to be $200 for 10 sets instead isn't it?) Local postage - 15 Shipping - 25 (estimated) Total - 290
This is 29 each, shipped to Singapore.
If its $200 USD, it should be $240USD in total? After conversion of 1.4 rate, works out to be $33.60 each?

If we order via the website to the Vpost local US address, we won't be eligible for the USD50 discount offered by Monument Golf, that's why it's USD250 via Vpost, and USD200 via direct order from Monument Golf. Regarding the fitment for X7, I cannot be sure and have not been able to unearth any information on the web. Perhaps you may wish to check directly with them?

Yes, meanwhile, checking with them on the suitability for x7. Will revert asap. Cheers.
