| If buying only heads, bring a digital weighing scale and weigh the heads. Im guessing the fakes wouldnt weigh the same. Good idea? | |

| I must share a rather interesting story..... some months back, we received a tip-off there someone in Bangkok was selling BFG fakes. So last week, we raided the shop with our legal counsel. The operator is a korean who speak no thai, so through the interpreter, we explained to him about his action. His shop logo is green and at that moment, his face was the same colour too. To cut a long story short, he had a young child so we did not pursue further but he had to remove all the fake CB 003. This year, we will have several new security measures in place..... plus soon BFG users can register their product on-line and their location and fitting centre will be updated on a google map. it also double up as a fan page as golfers can see where BFG irons are being deployed. which reminds me. the fakes do have serial no (they all probably bear the same serial no ACR 00299), but its one digit too many and there was also a weight tag on the iron. on close examination, it was preprinted and not printed according to weight. Plus the fake do not have the fishy wedge. i really do not know whether to cry or smile.... DGman | |

| I think it was really nice of you to not pursue the matter after the raid. Hopefully such grace and kindness was not lost on him, and I admire the empathy you showed him. Kudos to you for that | |

| Hi, does anyone know of any way to verify if a Honma clubs are genuine/counterfeit?
Can I do it via serial numbers? If I get a picture of the serial number(s), where do I go to verify if the serial numbers are legit?
Looking to buy a secondhand set but worried re: all the stories of counterfeit Honmas. Thanks in advance for any help!

| Hi all I am very new to golf and I just started. I saw a post on the internet that is selling a Nicklaus complete set of golf clubs with driver S-Yard T501 brand for sgd$500, and I called the owner to check and he said is a good brand, just that is quite old. I want to know is it worth this much for this Nicklaus brand?
Thank you all for ur replies!

| Hello. $500 May be is because of the S-yard driver. I only know S yard driver is not cheap. As for the irons, for less than $300, you can get a brand new set from golf direct, Taylor made iron set!
Just my thought. | |

I was given a set of Golden Bear to start off with this game earlier this year but steel shafts are too painful for me to learn with, passed it to my friend whose name was Nicholas. I'm actually curious how it'll work for me now though
