Hi bros...i am thinking of investing in a rangefinder but am totally lost on how to go about doing my homework on this. Can you all please help advise me on what kind of specifications I should look out for in one? Or are there any particular models I can consider / lobang you have you can share with me?
Also, not sure if I should get a rangefinder or a golf watch which tells the distance. Many thanks for your help in advance.
Cheers

Hi bro,
For myself I found using a scope rangefinder (Bushnell V2) combined with a Golf GPS App in my Iphone (Golfshot) quite useful in my game. I am terrible in judging distances visually.
For situations when the pin/target/hazard is visible nothing beats the accuracy of a scope rangefinder. For situations where these are not visible, I revert to my GPS App. Using these two in combination has saved me a lot of shots (and potentially lost balls) in deciding whether to go for it or lay up and in deciding to use the appropriate club to get a hazard out of range. Good luck!

The things I'd look for; -Accuracy: If you look around there are a couple of well known brands such as bushness, leupold, Nikon, etc... Most of these brands are well established and they are accurate -Zoom: For long par 5, par 4s you would appreciate the bigger zoomed devices -Ease of use: Bushnell offers pin seeking technology where it will identify the pin and give you distance to pin. This is useful as not all of us has steady hands -Time to display: You need a device which can provide the yardage quickly (trust me time is precious )
Hope this helps and good luck!

Consider the Bushnell Tour V3 JOLT Slope if price is not an object to you ...
Consider if you need slope compensated distance, rain proof, JOLT function, etc.

Just one thing about Slope, it is not allowed in competition. Other than that, it's a good option

Most of the Bushnell actually, mine is bulky and the case is not the easiest to put on but I bought it for the 7x zoom.
