| Hi, I am new here. i recently went for club fitting and customisation and due to collect them this weekend. I was told that the shaft have to be -1/4. My question : how can I check the club to ensure that the lenght was indeed tailored to my height ? Appreciate some advise here Thank you. | |

| You can bring a measuring tape to measure... The standard lengths of irons can be easily found online...
But I don't think the fitter will suggest 1/4" shorter and give you standard length... Nothing in it for them... If they wanted, they can suggest standard length

| Next best way is to check n compare your set with an off the self standard set at the shops. You should notice a -1/4" consistently for all clubs. | |

| hahaha, the fitter tell you U need -1/4 ? so be it , ask him to measure and prove that it is -1/4 on his scale.
I dont think the fitter dont have a measurement or long ruler to prove to you. if he dont have then how he build the club?
and then hit some balls, with the club in front of the fitter. if not sweet even hitting the sweet spot, something is not right! Ask him to adjust and tune.
Satisfied, pay lah, else tell him to redo. U go to tailor to make pants, if it dont fit, then the tailor must have given someone else pants.
It apply for buying a car, buy a blue one U get black?

| There might be various reasons why the fitter suggested to have the clubs shorten. Might not be purely due to height. If you have doubts, you can and should ask the fitter. I am very sure he will explain and even prove to you that they have been shorten if you aren't convinced.
I will be more concern about lie angle and swing weight though.

But ultimately is it you tat shld query yr fitter on why he suggest to build in this spec. Definately he s trackman or other flight scope to explain.

| Std length is different for different clubs. For example, mizuno and Yamaha standards are shorter than TM or Callaway. I will assume your fitter is talking about 1/4 shorter than your current set? | |

| Hi all, Thanks for your responses.
the fitter was comparing my stats to a chart. from the chart, it shows a -1/4. So i suppose the -1/4is from the new clubs.
It standard length is different for differet make, then i will not be able to tell if i put my current club next to the new one, correct ?
I did try out the clubs, the shorter ones are ok. have problem with 5 iron though..
