| 1st Overseas Golf Trip to phuket from 24-26 May, the curfew didnt affect the golf This is only my 5th 18 hole game. (Last 4 all at Palm Spings) Was there with my kaki (both of us beginnner +40 type) 1st day play at the Phunaka (9 hole course), it was a well mentioned 9 hole short course, good for practise, and cheap. Way better than executive golf, at least they maintain the fairway, green and tee box. 2nd day, Play at the Blue Canyon Lake Course (18 holes), had to said it was actually very beautiful and the course condition was great, lost abt 12 balls there, the water were mostly at the sweet spots and between green. Enjoyable game and no one rushing behind. Was told the canyon course (another seperate 18 holes) was harder to play (the one that tiger wood played) Overall a great trip, hopefully can head back next year to try the Laguna, Lochhill or Red Mountain, can give phuket golf country club a miss, the course condition quite below par when we drove past it. Only issue, the caddy is not that skillful compared to Batam... and they cant really advise much on the green... My 2 cent review Rod | |

| Last time I played Phuket country club, it was very good. The only problem is walking only. I know from my thai friend Loch Palm and Red mountain now the most ex in Phuket. Under the management of the MBK group, which is the same as Riverdale in Bangkok.
Caddies, I would say it's luck base. I get some very good one and some very bad one as well. But generally the better or expensive courses, the caddies are better.

| Hi, It was our 1st overseas golf trip to thailand, so we didnt know what to expect. The agent i used is phuketgolfleisures.com, most of the online agent rates are about the same (include green fee, cabby, land transfer from hotel to golf course to hotel, except golf cart pay seperately.) however, they do provide airport transfer at a cheaper rate compared to the other, (700BT per on way). The good thing is, i booked the airport transfer with them, for 2 ways, and they actually assign the driver and vehicle (a white altis) to us throughout the 3 days to us. We used the driver and vehicle as our "personal taxi" throughout the trip, to tour around and do some shopping , of course with additional tips, but it is so much cheaper than getting the taxi. It was really nice to have a vehicle anytime you need it on a holiday!!! The altis managed to take us (2 pax) plus 2 large suitcase plus 2 golf travel bag!!! Hotel wise, we booked seperately due to promotion online, we stayed at holiday inn express patong, cheap, new and clean!!! we wanted to stay near patong . there are other cheaper option, depend on personal preference, but the Holiday inn express is a quite value for money, and the crowd are mostly young travellers (plenty of eye candy) hope this helps! | |

| eye candys for eyes only... patong is near the nightlife scene, the main city is still far away... accommodation wise, most of the agent can also arrange for you... | |

| You need to play Red Mountain, that's the nicest in Phuket. Not cheap though unless you have affiliation from SICC. | |

I played the lake course a couple of months back too, alone. Fastest round of my life at 2hrs15min as I was rushing to the airport lol. Overall very enjoyable experience.
