Sacking Moyes and hire another may not solved the problem. To be fair to Moyes, he inherited an aging squad from Sir Alex.

Also looking back at history, when a very successful manager left/retired, it'll will take them years to come back winning again. We saw this in Liverpool, AC Milan, Real Madrid etc....

Lastly, even with the same squad it does not mean sure win. Chelsea was chasing the title until they got Jose Morinho, when Morinho left, they are more or less the same squad but they don't seem to be winning as much any more.

not optimistic....it's impossible to replicate another sir alex. It's been shown on history that's not possible in whatever sports. In US, look at NBA, Boston Celtics, LA Lakers, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls....the list go on.

Totally agreed mate.. Don't think the fans nor the owners expected SAF II.

But I think the general consensus had always been a top 4 finish, bare minimal Europa placings.. Neither these has been achieved...

Damn...I agree with the banner help up by the fans during a recent match....MOYES IS A FOOTBALL GENIUS....unfortunately it was the Liverpool fans holding the banner

As a Spurs and anybody playing Man U fan....I'll be sorry to see Moyes go.....

Europa qualification was the last straw after missing the CL spot.Losing to Everton means, there goes the Europa League, hence he has to go. Next better player please.. Superman

Ya...was hoping he stays on longer too...

Actually dun think it was purely results that did him in but also the loss of players faith N trust in him...

The owners should have given Moyes 1 more season but I guess the stakes are just too high. Imagine the revenue lost compare to his compensation.

Moyes may not be a top notch manager but he is not entirely to blame for the bad performance. Some of the current players are so substandard that they do not deserve to wear the shirt.

Finally, my wish came true!!! I think Moyes doesn't have the strong personality to control his players (most of them are strong headed). Furthermore, he should buy defenders to strengthen his back 4 but he just buy strikers.
