Don't cut this putter!

It's intended to be 38" for you to choke down the grip  and play it between 33-35"

Just google TMag website mate

Cutting putter may affect the overall feel of it. It's not recommend unless u go to a fitter and he can counter balance for u. Just curious are u very tall?? In fact no one I know play 38" putter unless u using it as belly.

Spider Blade is available in two lengths, 38 and 35”. The idea is to grip the club as you would a normal-length putter, with two or three inches of the butt-end of the grip extended above your hands, which gives you the maximum benefit of counterbalancing. Thus, if you normally play a 35” putter you should opt for the 38”; if you play a 33” putter should use the 35”; if you play a 34” putter you can experiment with both the 35 and 38” to find which you prefer.

I got this brand new spider blade free, so there is no choice on the length

Was briefly "measure" by fareast level fitting shop, said 34" should fit me.

Yah 38" seems like long for me, I am 176cm.

if you are 176cm  tall, then the 38" is just fine for you, just choke down to 34" cos it is heavier with counterbalance properties

it is designed to be longer in length and intended for the user to choke down the grip

enjoy it.

I'm using one now but got the 35" instead 38" even though I am 1.8m tall. Important u must be comfortable at address even it's suppose to be choke down.

Is the counterbalance thingy really useful?

If you really have to... any of the fitting shops around can do the cutting...

i think cutting this putter is not advisable. the length is precisely its selling point. if you cut it, it will definitely diminish greatly in value.

so unless u are prepared to experiment at the sake of lowering its value, or unless you are sure that u are going to keep it and game it in its altered state, then u are probably better off selling it and buying a new putter

like any other putter, it's a personal thing

i think the concept of counterbalancing makes sense. but then 'how much' and how to counterbalance is still a personal choice, based on feel

i've tried the TM putters and find them too heavy and the grip too bulky for my liking

personally, i prefer counterbalancing by using a putter head with adjustible weights (such as scotty select) and weight plugs in a normal sized grip. in that way, u can get a very personal counterbalanced putter, rather than a retail-spec putter
