Lengthen or shorten the shaft

Currently, I am using a Superquad with NVS55-R 45".
No complain on the driver.
Hitting it well.

Realized I have a 44.5" Graman UL640 shaft R flex.

Should I lengthen it and put into my driver or shorten it and put it in my R7 3-wood or R7 5-wood? I am currently hitting the R7 5-wood rather than the 3-wood. The 5-wood is easier to launch from the deck at 18*.

Kakis said don't mess with a good driver.

Anyway your gramman shaft at 44.5" is before or after fixing onto the head?
If its before installing, then after installation could still play to 45.5"

Even if it is 44.5" after installation, you may find pretty good driving results despite a shorter shaft. Like I said in my other post, try a shorter driver shaft, may work for you too

Now u mentioned it, maybe I should just leave it as 44.5
