| I don't think it's "no money don't play golf" it's probably more accurate to say "no money just means you can't afford to play golf"
At the end of the day , if you really want to do something , no one can stop you. It's just a matter if how much your willing to sacrifice to get it

| Besides, with Dempsey 9 hole/Nsrcc / Mbgc / keppel club warren golf club etc. There are definitely a lot of affordable options out there | |

Came across his story in the book "chicken soup for the singapore soul". He practiced secretly at night at JCC with the lamp post as the only light and using an iron that he found somewhere or something like that.

| Come to think of it, golfing can be quite expensive. Memberships, transportation, equipment, clothing, footwear, accessories, risks, bets, etc.... | |

jason, why U senior liao, still kana whack ? Can choose who U play with. Slow play can be found with SERIOUS betting group, got to view and practice before executing a putt. Walk like a duck and damage the green. Talk while people are taking a shot.... I still can take this shit. But CHEAPO that come over the fairway and pick up my ball. NO WAY. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT NO MONEY DONT PLAY GOLF. I suggest we BUDGET the game we play, U on the wrong place. huh?

| There is truth to the statement that "no money don't play golf", which is totally different from "golf is a rich man's game". Golf is still a personal hobby unless one competes on tour, and it does incur expenditures like equipment, range practice, lessons and playing on course. If one is struggling to make ends meet, then he/she should not even consider playing the game but focus on livelihood as the priority. If one has some cash to spare, then by all means take up the game and of course, there is also budget golf to start with. Get used equipment + golf balls, and game in JB which doesn't require membership fees and also relatively inexpensive. | |

| I agree - no money don't play.
I have some friends, we agree to go to a certain place for dinner. Just becos the rest are doing better financially, when it comes to bill time, this one friend keeps quiet while the others offer to pay. It happened many times until someone in our grp highlighted the behaviour of this particular person.
Our conclusion is no money don't join. we are not suckers. we take turns to pay and we are not calculative (some pay more and some pay less) but don't expect to free load on our generosity. No money don't join us. have the courteosy to make some excuse.
