Just wanna make sure you have the following; Proper swing that launches your ball (iron & driver) Green management/Club selection Getting out of bunker N most importantly your golf etiquette on the green Do they test course management and club selection? Most importantly is safety, etiquette, basic understanding of golf play.

| Thanks Willy for the info. I am quited surprised that the CR is conducted at EC instead of a 9 holes course. However, it will be very affordable cost to me and I just need to bring 5 clubs then. | |

It doesn't matter if it's conducted on a EC / par3 or a regular course, the things that u have learnt in golf remains the same. Every game on the same course remains a brand new game.

Sound tough, do people fail???? How much they charge you for 9-hole test? Short game and course management are important. Try to ensure your drive is always on the fairway and avoid fairway bunkers at all cost ...

| Course management by laying up is important, 53 should be okie. In fact I am amazed that MGK has such requirement, never hear of ppl failing the MGK CR. I always understand that CR is more about assessing the strokes, the rules and most important the golf ettiquete. | |

Vinjess. More like +66! What I meant was, going thru a test and playing at your leisure can be a lot of different mentally if you are not well prepared ... In order to ensure the lowest possible score, in a nutshell, I'm trying to tell you to play safe and do not attack unnecessarily ... Some blokes do not know how to layout and plan their subsequent shots, ended up attaining very high score ... BTW, the fairway bunkers in MBGC are horrendously deep and the diameter is not huge ... Therefore, if one landed in one of these bunkers, high chance the ball is near the bunker wall ... and the possibility of hitting out towards the target is slim (unless one is highly skill like a TOUR Pro) ... You don't see such deep and small diameter bunkers in Singapore or JB courses ... Something like those found in St Andrew course in UK ... Sometime it is better to hit sideway or backward instead in order to save stroke ... Good luck!

| Actually many times, they more interested on your etiquette and rules than your playing skills. They know most people went for CR one not many can play. Must play safe most of the time should be fine. Of course there are people who failed..but why they failed, most likely too many mistakes. Last time when I took mine, there's one guy who went retake, why failed first time. according to him 1st hole already 5 OB... | |

Pc most of the time, your coach can certify you pass. Hcp you will be playing with clubs committees most of the time.
