| Best of luck to you guys... again, it is a courtesy round, not a hcp test per se.
go easy on yourself and make it easy for the greens committee to pass you.
NSRCC wanna see you fill up your divots, scream 'Fore' if you ball goes wayward, etc...
kinda taking drivng test...

| Hi all,
Heard from my friends that NSRCC doesnt recognize certain handicaps..
My handicap is currently maintained by MyGolfkaki and I plan to join NSRCC next year and would like to know if I have to re-take the handicap test?
thanks | |

| Don't worry, NSRCC is the most easy place to take test. Even if you cant hit over the hazard for 6 times, they will still pass you. So just enjoy and dont worry so much. You will surely pass. | |

| actually, not sure if it is a good thing to pass if the skills are not up to scratch. Dun get me wrong... ppl who plays NSRCC knows it is infamous for marshalls breathing down your neck if your pace of play is off...
of course, it does not help when we have high hcp players who plays off blue tee when the marshall not looking...
one step at a time, get your official USGA Hcp first....

| In my experience, as I've just taken my handicap test not too long go this year, there's nothing to fear. How you fare in the test itself has no effect on your handicap. The purpose of the courtesy round is only to check and validate your handicap according to what you have submitted. They can take you to play any course, I played 3 holes and was only asked 1 rules question. I think they'll stop the courtesy round once they're convince you're competent. | |
