Golf bag rain hood or cover

Hi,

Anyone has got recommendation or experience to tailor make a rain hood or cover for the golf bag?

Someone mentioned Yap Seng Huat at King George Road, Blk 803 or something but couldn't locate the contact so far.

I am looking for nylon or PU material.

i have seen on the internet, selling off the shelf rain cover. Have not tried them.

I am assuming that doing it locally gives a better customised fit. Any feedback on this? Thanks

I bought my rain  golf bag cover long time ago, off the shelf
very useful when rain, protect your bag and gear from getting
wet!

King George Rd there's quite a few shops doing canvas stitching!

Found this supplier from Philppines who could custom make hood cover. They are now going to do 2 hoods for me for about $40 each including shipping. Got them to do it in synthethic leather. Now thinking of getting them to stich name or logo on it. You just need to send them the pics of your bag and measurements (diamete and distance between  center of buttons ). Here is the website :

Jast for sharing, I have visited Yap Sin Huat 2 days ago. Yes, they do rain hood for golf bag. Due to the amount of work they are having now, the owner pointed me across the street.

Thus, I went to this shop Chop Eng Lee Lai and make the rain hood. I will be collecting today. Damage is S$30.00 per piece.

I believe the material from them is limited and no leather.

Can share/post pics of yr rain hood after you've collected it ? Much thanks!

This is so helpful for us clumsy ones, take out cover forget to put back kind.


any idea if they will custom make a light walking bag . no stand, no cover , no plastic bottom, no 14 slots kind?

I am not sure. But when I was there, an angmo brought a canvas bag and ask her to make another one. So, maybe it can be done.

Remember to bring down your original rain or hood cover as they need it for measurement. Most likely the hood cover needs to keep with them.

Secondly, remember to use one of their clip button to test on your original hood cover. Please note they have only one type of clip button.

Also, what you guys saw in the image above the zipper is from my old cover.

Eh. pardon my ignorance.. but usually carts will have a 'pull-over' at the back of the buggy where the golf bags would be strapped.  When it rains, the pull-over will cover the golf ball and keep the top dry, no?

So, why do we need a rain cover?
