| During a stipulated round, the playing characteristics of a club must not be purposely changed by adjustment or by any other means (see Rule 4-2a)
So no, and its not a personal view. Its the rule. | |

| Then what about, if let say 1 hole we use a fixed 10.5 driver then next hole we use a fixed 9.5 driver? | |

| yes if u have both drivers in bag and does not exceed 14 clubs. Phil has done it before! | |

| Round 1 adjust to 9.5, round 2 can adjust to 10.5... but not hole 1 then change at hole 2, etc | |

| What about the new Taylormade SLDR driver? Is adjusting the sliding bar at the bottom of the driver allowed? | |

| During a round you cannot change from first shot to last shot . But u can set up while you warm up to correct your tendency although i don't recommend tweaking just before tee off.... | |

| Came across this morn via golfwrx news tat one Tour pro playg in Barclays 2nd round gotta DQ fr some indirect mod on his all new launch TM SLDR driver..  Think something like the adjustable bolt or weight thingy dropped off n he didnt declare officially n contd to game in the 2nd round!  | |

this is the story you were referring to I believe
If drop off or damage during the course of play. Still can proceed to use, but must be replaced before start of next round.
