| In today's context, it seems that blades and muscleback are being used interchangeably. | |

| Some 'cavity backs' are actually blades while some 'muscle backs' are actually full cavity backs.

| Difference is perimeter weighting for cavity backs. | |

| Does knowing what the club head is classified as make a difference to how it will perform? | |

| Agree w greenteaz musclebacks = blades They have a full back where the sweet spot is in the centre of the face vs cavity backs which have been hollowed out and weight distributed to the perimeter for a more forgiving design esp for mishits away from the centre sweet spot
bro solutions: think bro sob is correct ur mg cb 2007 are definitely cavity backs as the cavity is so distinct in the design as with earlier predecessor models. Even online reviews for authoritative sources point out that they are indeed cavity backs ... see http://www.golfcourier.com/news/story/58623/miura-gikens-new-cb-2007-forged-cavity-back/full_story.html and http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4967 | |

| I think there is another component that is important when we chose between MB, CB or even blades...forgiveness! (also feel and looks are mportant to some which some bros had brought up)... Based on my interaction Si many club sellers, even some irons that are claimed to be CB performs differently in terms of forgiveness. I can only give example from my own play. I am using Razr x forged which is classified as CB. It's is indeed more forgiving than the blades & some MB but it is not as forgiving as those with the ' pockets' design ie. ping i25, RBZ, etc. I was told that the rule of thumb is usually: the bigger the pocket, the more forgiving it is... To some extend I find it true. Maybe you can consider this factor when choosing between CBs... | |

| I thought if the club heads is forged, it generally make a difference to the forgiveness n feel. Haha i always thought my irons are blades, only to realised lower irons are mb n mid to high irons are blades | |
