| I'm using pxi 5.5 soft step in mp53. Love the combi. Managed to reduce 10 strokes immediately after changed but after that can only reduce ard 5 strokes and maintain there abt. Donna it's the shafts or my skill improve. I prefer to think it's the latter | |

| A question regarding the flex for those who have tried is the pxi 5.5 or kbs s stiffer? Some places put pxi 5.5 as more stiff regular and 6.0 as stiff so was wondering. | |

Yup, the PXI 5.5 is a stiff regular which is in between the 5.0(r) and 6.0(s). Same goes to the KBS Tour Shafts which comes in R, R+, S, S+ and X-Stiff. Hope this helps

Just to add on, the PXI is not hash when you hit a bad shot (top, duff or shank) unlike the PX5.5 which is punishing on bad hit and you can feel the whole shaft vibrate. Hitting better with the PXI now, ball striking % has increase quite a fair bit and can't seems to stop hitting during my range session. Cheers

Hope this helps Thanks! I've hit the pxi in 5.5 and they were really good but didnt get to try other flex to compare that's why wanted to ask. I guess other popular shafts in the same range would be c-tapers and steelfiber wonder how they measure up.

| I think 5.5 is stiff as the Project Website it's state it's stiff but 5.0 is regular , but i could be wrong if anyone test it on cpm it'll be more accurate .

Here is the link : http://www.royalprecision.com/pxshaft/faq.asp Thanks! I also did some research and here's a CPM comparison to other popular shafts although they were using 6.0 instead of 5.5 Obtained from golfwrx I think done up by Tom Wishon.

| Tried the px5.5 on my x forged irons, pretty harsh at times and punishing at times... I had since swoped to kbs tour, smoother n lower ball flight... Maybe is my swing speed, I couldnt lauch my 5i & 4i on the PX but no problem with the kbs... | |

| how does it feel compared to the NS Pro though? most OEMs are offering either this or the NS Pro so I suppose they might fall under the same category on specs though feel might be different? | |

| Ns pro flight is higher and wilder for me. Pxi gave me a nice flight and smooth load. I have changed my shafts from ns pro to pxi 5.5. Loving these shafts. So straight so nice so smooth... | |

| I've been looking through the web before I made my purchase and most people said the NS PRO feels better than the PXI 5.5 though...so I eventually settled on the NS PRO haha! | |

| HitSoft. there's quite a difference between NS Pro and PXI.
The PXI works better for faster swing speeds that want a lower trajectory and less spin. I switched them out of my irons for the PX 95 Flighted cos of my lower swing speed, and already low launch and low spin.
I actually need more spin and a higher trajectory, and a fitting showed that the NS Pro is most ideal for me. But I stuck with the PX 95 cos I'd already invested in the shafts and I liked the feel at impact.

| I am in new consideration to change my DG S300 into lighter shaft and came into decision whether to use PXI 5.0/5.5 or KBS Tour.
But haven't get any chance to try them using the same iron head that I used...

| Interesting topic and feedback.
A buddy of mine swears by PXi 5.5. (on 2013 Cally X forged) Tried them out... awesome combi. Smoooooth!!! and the clubheads are buttery soft. Addictive!!
I currently using PX 5.5 on one set and PX 6.0 on another set. I've asked several fitters about the differences between the PX and PXi. Feel and performance wise, they said supposed to be exactly the same. The only thing different is the weight, which is about 10-13 grams lighter than PX depending on flex.
Difference between 5.5 and 6.0... Same trajectory and feel (honestly no difference from PXi i feel). 5.5..the ball tends to draw abit. 6.0...straighter and more control and accuracy.
Agree with birdman. that PX shafts better suited for guys with faster swing speeds and prefer heavier shafts.
Bro Hitsoft. Most brands offer shaft options, so that customers have a choice. Stronger/faster swingers can have the option to go for PXi and slower swingers might prefer NSPro. It doesn't mean that they are both the same specs. Its more a case of specs than brand.
PXi 5.0 = Regular (108g) PXi 5.5 = Stiff/Regular (108g) PXi 6.0 = Stiff (112g) PXi 6.5 = Stiff/ X-stiff (117g)
PX 5.0 = Regular (115g) PX 5.5 = Stiff/Regular (115g) PX 6.0 = Stiff (120g) PX 6.5 = Stiff/ X-stiff (125g) PX 7.0 = X Stiff (130g)
