Safe to golf in Malaysia now ??

Thinking of golfing in Malaysia next week but still seems abit unstable now even after their election.

Pls advise

I was TP last Sat, did not encounter any problem, my guess it will be same especially if you play early morning

I'd say it's safe but that's my perspective.

Was in JB whole day yesterday,not golfing but for normal groceries, makan and tank top up. Seem normal just like before election time. The only left over i can see, the flag,banners still up and flying,though some fallings.......

Vesak day weekend...plans for Palm Villa and Tanjung Puteri ..hope to make it back in one piece. I think shld be ok so long not on 13 May. Taboo date!

Yup I think its as safe as the Merlion park

Golfed that Sunday morning of the elections and had lunch in Senai...

The day was rather abnormal


Causeway at 6am hardly any traffic
Very few cars and players at the course - Palm Resort Melati
Was wet but marshals still allowed buggy on fairways around 930am
No hurry.. Intervals between flights .. relaxed play
think few marshals working too
After that shower rooms like ghost town - lots of space and plenty of waterpressure n shampoo
Lunch was also unusually quiet..
But most unusual part was coming back thro checkpoints - was a breeze driving up to the counters of both sides and clearing in 3 mins each..

Gotta agree with this one. There's no point in everyone giving you assurances if you still feel unsafe. Ultimately, there are many factors which may add risks which are unknown to others. You need to assess for yourself if it's worthwhile heading into JB. If you think it's not, then don't. You only have one life so take care of it

Chiong lah botak. I am also chionging to JB tommorow.

Dont worry. Everything is fine here. Been stationed at PJ for the past week. Most friends here are from jb.

Unless I am trying out a new swing at the adjacent fairway, I'd say it's pretty safe.
