| I have given up using gloves because they wear out too fast or lose them. Maybe it is because I don't swing too fast, I find not much difference with or without gloves. Just less hassle. Bonus - no tan lines. What is your experience? | |

| I don't wear gloves when I'm practicing mainly for 2 reasons. 1. Wear out too fast unless I use high end ones but even those will just wear out after a week +
2. It forces me to put a death grip on the club, to accurately control the club face so that when I do use gloves, I have greater consistency. Might be just a placebo but hey! Who cares(;

| Actually I sweat like a pig - my shirt is drenched after 2 holes - like just taken out of laundry without spin BUT my palms are relatively dry.
If I wear gloves - they are also drenched (probably from the sweat dripping down from my arms).

| Its part of the attire. Isn't it? Which sports let you wear 1 white golf on a single hand without looking stupid? | |

| I have given up glove for the past 5 years. I have better feel without the glove besides saving some money, which is secondary. I also always carry a handkerchief in my pocket. In case it rains the handkerchief come in very handy as I use it to wrap around the grip. The feel is super good as the fabric bite into the tiny groves in the grip and is non-slip. | |

Ha ha ha...
Joking...
On actual, I can't play without glove... Maybe I grip very hard... And my stupid hand only can use foot joy glove... Others just give me blister...
I find that I putt better with glove on too...

Actually the glove is not meant for protection ... if you grip the club correctly and with the right pressure, one should not have suffered any bruises or blisters on his hands even after hitting a few hundred balls ... But corns might still happen sometime ... Glove is actually meant to minimize slippage during the swing ... However, PGA Tour golfer like Fred Couple does not wear any glove to golf ...

For right-handed golfer, the left hand is the control hand whilst the right hand is the speed hand. The control hand is critical (especially during downswing) to prevent the club from flying off your hand, to prevent slippage so that you have a higher chance of squaring the ball, etc.

Not true in my experience. My earlier post reads as follow:
