Isn't deer antler a traditional Chinese herbal remedy for fever? The medical halls will scrape the horns and boil it with sugar water, it has a funny smell.

Considering Vijay's heritage, and his long stint as a pro in Malaysia, it is not surprising that he uses such remedies. I didn't know such things come in sprays though...

I can't see how the spray will help with shooting lower golf scores though.

I disagree muscle not needed for golf. Finesse may be in the short game but you need muscle to get to the point where your short game kicks in. As such, sportsmen would take anything to help with pain and recovery. Vijay has a bad back and I believe the spray was for his back and joints. No different from taking glucosamine for joints or celery pills for gout. They are supplements we hope will help. Only problem - deer antler may contain a banned substance. More important for PGA to ask if the amount in the spray is actually performance-enhancing levels. Remember, it didn't show up in his urine. He told a writer he took it. Writer said he admitted. Admitted sounds like a confession when in truth, he said it in a matter of fact way. That only means he had no clue it contained a banned substance. Sounds to me like PGA is looking for an Armstrong moment.
