Hmm... as I've put it to my girlfriend: The car is an INVESTMENT.

And as with all investments (e.g. my golf club), they are for a greater purpose.

Do I want to risk the lives of my loved ones driving an aluminum korean/JP car? No WAY!? So no choice... have to INVEST. *cough. cough. BS. cough*

I only trust one place : Chin Meng Motors at AutoBay. 01-40. He's very very very meticulous and very reasonable. Satisfaction guaranteed. Please mention Jason ask u to go there. Mervin, the owner is also a golfer. All my colleagues went once and very impressed with price and workmanship.

But yeah, I also think its a little pretentious to classify all Japanese and Korean cars as death machines on the roads.. I've seen dead people in BMWs too..

Btw, I was joking about the Jap/Kr cars thing. *in case it wasn't obvious enough*

I still am keeping my Honda *yellow bird* fit. My first love. So no offence to anyone driving JP/KR cars.

SWC is OK. I wouldn't say dirt cheap but you get good quality. Remember, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. No harm in visiting him and getting a rough estimate. It's going to be 1/3rd or 1/4th of what PML charges.

I just read some advice on paint jobs and also a sharing of a disaster paint job. I guess for paint, you pay for what you get. Beginning to rethink about getting it as cheap as possible. SWC is pretty famous for a good job although their price quote is slight premium.

Did you re-spray at SWC before? How much did it cost you then?

His price is cheaper than SWC and quality is also good.
