| For paint coat to be durable, it has to be put in an oven up to a recommended temperature to harden the coating. | |

I would think it would depend on the paint. Some manufacturers recommend no baking, or low temps for short periods, compared to others. Baking @ 140 degrees simply just accelerates the curing process. After the product is totally cured the paint is exactly the same whether baking was used or not. Baking is purely an issue of production speed... | |

| I am sorry, Baking not only accelerate the curing process but also hardens the paint coat. Car painters use the oven for the same reason. A check with the applicators in the car or construction industries would be a good knowledge. I am in the construction industry. I do not profess to know a lot about such painting stuff but do know for a fact that the baking process hardens the coating. | |

| The installer use a heat gun and stretched the sticker over the '3-D' profile of the driver crown, and trimmed the sides using a penknife. The first time, he 'over-stretched' the decal and the sides peeled off after a week left in the car. The second time (FOC cos guarrantee for 6 months), he was careful not to over-stretch the decal and it last till today (for close to 6 weeks now) - still in the car. Please note the the impact sound will be slightly muted & feel is different after putting on the decal on the crown. Gained 1 1/2 swingweight (due to weight of the sticker) and feels like a forged face driver (don't know why - probably related to impact sound). The installer used the thickiest sticker (matt carbon fibre) to conceal the deep scratches, other stickers (matt black, grey, shiny black.......) are available in different thickness. The other day, I saw a huge SUV on the street completely covered in matt black mock crocodile skin -cool | |

| Thanks for sharing the pics.. Am sure it was tough stretching the film over the compound curves of the driver head... Impressive for a sticker job!! | |
