| Years ago, a friend and customer left our shores to pursue a 2nd career in Sports Psychology. He left a distinguished military career to pursue his passion and dive into a profession that is considered relatively new but critical to sports and performance. So he went on to intern in a premier sport psychology and performance Institute, worked with elite Collegiate golfers, and at the Leadbetter Academy. Chance has it that he is back for the next few years, as like most true Singaporeans, Han Ee would prefer to have his child born and bred here. Well to cut a long story short, we spoke about introducing sport psychology in Singapore on a wide as well as a narrow platform. Wide is for knowledge and general understanding of how one can better manage their sport performance and life, and narrow is for working with elite golfers and professionals through a specific and customized program. We happen to use some of the same software so I know that the golfers will benefit from Han Ee’s knowledge and expertise. I believe it will be beneficial for golfers who are seeking to bring their game to a new level of experience through the field of enhancing mental preparedness. BFG have also offered to lend its premises in Bukit Merah and the range at Keppel to facilitate the learning and training of how one can bring a different perspective to the actual game with a clear view of lowering your score. As for the rest I will leave it to Han Ee to elaborate. Good luck and I am sure you will benefit from this experience, not just from a golfing perspective but also life.

| Thanks for the kind words, Eric. Yes it is indeed a pleasure to be back and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with the golf population here in Singapore. To move things along, I am organizing a small group (3-4pax) 3-session workshop on the mental game of golf. The clear objective is to improve your golf game by thinking and scoring better. (If there are numbers then more runs can be scheduled.) The first and the third session will be at Bukit Merah with the second as a range session at Keppel. There will be a nominal fee for this workshop. Please feel free to PM me for details and let me know if there are any questions. Cheers.

| Please feel free to ask questions but if you do not want your kakis to know that you are going for secret training, do PM Han Ee. i know lots of guys have already PM him for the sessions and it would be great to see this get started and help golfers who are really keen but lack the mental calmness to lower their scores through professional guidance.
good luck and i look forward to meeting some of you.

| Response has been been quite positive and we will probably have 1-2 runs in Feb. I will look into additional runs in Mar if need be.
To those who have PMed me, thank you. I will be sending you additional information, especially in terms of pricing and scheduling.
Here is the scope of the Sport Psychology workshop:
Session A (60mins at Bukit Merah): -Find your zone. How to think well to score well -Strategies and techniques to master the mental game of golf
Session B (90mins at Keppel Range): -Applying Session A -The Inner Game of Golf
Session C (60mins at Bukit Merah): -Review and refresh content -Setting the stage for long-term success (Participants will also be requested to play 1 round of golf between Session B & C)
Group size will be capped at 4 per run.
Please let me know if there are further queries. Thanks.

| Yes, breathing is quite important, to scoring well and to live! Our breathing rhythm is one of the first things to "go out the window" when we come under duress. Hmmm, I think we'll have a breathing contest during the workshop! Looking forward to it. Han Ee | |

| Can anyone help put me in touch with a CA Lim? This person has indicated interest to attend the workshop but for some IT reason I am not able to get in touch. Thanks so much.

| So tell me, why is there such a "stigma" attached with the thought of seeing a Sports Psych? I have students that flush it on the range but struggle to take that game to the course. But if I ask them to talk to you it is as if I asked to date their mother! As you know I have tried everything, books, tapes I even tried hypnotherapy to improve my game. I just wonder what people's opinion or point of view as to why they would rather struggle than get mental training? | |

But you will spend thousands on a new driver because a magazine ad say will slash strokes off your game! And that is why I am asking the question, why would you spend money on equipment that won't help. But not on a "shrink" that will? It is a serious question.

| Just like people with ED would spend money for a mystical aphrodisiac made from some animal parts rather than see a doctor. And I'm serious as well, it was an answer given by a kaki when I asked him to join me in the workshop. His exact words were " Siao ah! I can use the money to play more golf!" Same reply when I asked him to go for golf lessons. Cheers! | |

| Fair comment, but then your friend wants to play not get better, I guess I better rephrase my question.
Why if you are trying to improve and want to improve would you not consider?
There is likely not one golfer in the top 100 in the world that does not have mental help.
In Sing our top guys, our Natiomal players all have mental help.
There was a thread on mental golf books recently, this is one on one!
Don't get me wrong there is nothing in it for me, but I want my students to improve, as with clubfitting this is an important step.

| I cannot agree more with your comments.
Sadly many of us do not realize that the differences between a KSLS 18 HCP and a weak 18 HCP is between the ears.
Many of us are range heros and course zeros because of our mental preparation.Weekend golfers duff/fat shots, remedy is to hit the range. No one looks at the pre shot routines, or visualizes the shots paths Everything is whack and hope.
Golf is a mental game, if you can control your mind you are already half way there.
Mental training is every part the difference between making a shot if you have two equally skilled players.

| Guess its easier to spend money on something that can be felt and touched.
Mental game training doesn't fall into that category, and it sure has no resale value in the marketplace.
