Will TW be fit and ready for the PGA Championship?

What do you think? Personally, I don't think he can make it, though I really hope he can.

He is given until 8.35pm (Singapore time) today to confirm.

Think Tiger is someone who is scared of "lose face"... when he dun play well, he will find excuses to withdraw or dun participate...

No lah! I think he genuinely injured his back after hitting the shot from above the bunker.

I think he's very professional in his game and doesn't do that.
If I recall correctly, Rory did that before?

Yes, he claimed got toothache. I am sure he won't repeat it again. Probably learnt his lesson. But we do that too, don't we, when we are not playing well during our social games. Always have excuses to make ourselves feel better.

An update from PGA Tour. It looks like TW is allowed up to the tee off time to decide whether or not to play in the PGA Championship.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Will he or won't he? That is the question that has been posed most frequently this week during the lead-up to the PGA Championship.
The player in question, of course, is Tiger Woods, who withdrew with back spasms Sunday on the ninth hole of the final round of the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. So his participation in the season's final major at Valhalla was immediately put in doubt.
Players had until 5 p.m. on Tuesday to register for the PGA. However, a player could request an extension until his opening-round tee time -- and PGA of America officials confirmed to the Louisville Courier-Journal on Tuesday evening that Woods had requested the extra time.
"Then all he needs to do is show up to his tee time on Thursday morning," Brett Sterba, director of the PGA Championship, told the newspaper.
Woods, who had surgery to repair a pinched nerve in his back on March 31, is scheduled to tee off at 8:35 a.m. ET on Thursday. Joining him will be two other former PGA champs in Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington.
The Bridgestone Invitational was Woods' third event since the surgery. He missed the cut in the Quicken Loans National, his first event back, and finished 69th at The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, where he won the same major in 2006.

He just tee'd off for his practice round at 2pm EST alongside Steve Stricker. Amazing that he doesn't look like he has a problem with his lower back after just 2 days. His swing looks normal to me, and still seems aggressive. Hope he doesn't aggravate the injury Smile

Sometime it is a publicity stun and to save some image as he knows very well he can't perform on that day. Both Michelle Wie and Rory McIlroy been there and done that Laughing

... Are you aware that many a times professional footballers like to feign injury/pain in the field when being tackled in order to get free kick or penalty kick from the referee?

He probably went for a good massage after consulting his doctor. But don't expect TW to perform well in this tournament.
