Tiger, hole 17, hits it 216yds to Right Fairway, 231yds to hole. So looks like he indeed chose to be conservative and did not hit driver. His average driving distance today is 292 yards. No need to tempt that hook again.

Tiger bogeys 17, lead cut to 4 at -13 but the point is moot already, with the 2nd to last group has finished and the nearest player still playing in his group is at -6.

Well, a new record was indeed created.

Counting his US Open win here, Tiger Woods became the first PGA TOUR player to win eight times on a single course.

The way he played the last few holes ... Still choking ... But with a couple more wins hopefully he will start to regain that killer instinct down the stretch.

congrats tiger. i think last few holes he got nervous, after not winning for quite some time. but overall, a good start for tiger this year
