Hakusa irons

Seen this online, never heard much about them. Anyone uses them before? Look petty neat

Not sure is it a stupid question, I was thinking using a forged wedge for sand bunker shot is just plainly asking for trouble ? due to the softer nature of the iron head itself ?

Buy a wedge just use .... If you scare to use then don't buy. Dent already change. Anyway in no less than 1 year , you will change the wedge. Anyway is Max 5 times a round ？ but back to qns IMHO I think using a forged wedge will definitely scartch the club. In Most courses , is not just fine sand in the bunker , you have rocks , pebbles. Especially in courses in Malaysia.

Understand what u mean, myself using forged iron already small nick here and there until dont bother, just that i was looking at those beautiful wedges , and i was thinking wow cannot imagine them being trashed on the course haha

Hmmm i dun really know, because i thought due to their soft nature of the irons it may be prone to dink and scratches more easily

I had it in dg spinner shaft and the feel was just great for me under rated brand as there are not much publicity as compared to bigger brand.

I got it from their usa dealer, myclubmaker. I got 56 n 60 from them at ard us$300 incl shipping. That was mths back. Hope it helps.

Ikasu comes from Hemiji, and seems like Hakusa comes from kyoei forging house. So shd be different

Frankly speaking, all forged will get scratch easily.
also all forged material are the same. wheather is American, china or japan.
is the way they forged it by how many stepping, how much carbon was taking out so that there is more soft steel. some also use milled material for wegdes like Vokey.
They way Japan style of grinding is just smoother.
Get the right degrees u want and get ur right boconce.
Use the right shaft that u feel is great on impact and use the right grip for ur hands feel.
ohhh dont forget get the right length.

both are made by Kyoei which is in north Himeji.....its an open model (so anyone can use it) and the same was made for JL sometime back.

most people think that if a piece of irons goes through more furnace time, it will get softer. but thats really the opposite.

Forging is best describe as shaping of metal using compressive forces. According to the temperature at which it is performed: its termed as "cold", "warm", or "hot" forging.

It is also scientifically proven that once a piece of carbon steel goes through more than 1200 degree heat, it will harden not soften.

the acid test is when we bend the irons. we know how soft or hard it really is.
