I've done that... let's see if I can find some photos. You didn't get into trouble for using your wife's nail polish? Or was it your girlfriend?

| I tried spray painting my old woods and hybrid. Made a mess out of it. Did not tape the edges properly and sprayed too much.
Will try again once i got time to buy the paint remover.

| FYI, I didn't use nail polish. This is what I had used: 1. Tamiya acrylic paint (I think it was acrylic) 2. Fine brushes 3. Nail polish remover 4. Cotton & cotton buds (Q-tips) 5. Tissue paper Steps. A. Remove existing paint fill. This can be tricky if the paint fill is thick, new etc. But you should try and get as much out as possible. This allows the new coat to set into the groove. B. Clean the spot where you want to paint. Warm water and some soap will suffice. Make sure that the club is dry. C. Paint the club using brush and paint (doh!). It's not too tricky. What I did was to cover the entire groove with paint. The groove will fill naturally. D. Let the club dry. I gave it a good 2 hours and some time under the sun. E. Once the paint is dry, apply some nail polish remover on the cotton, then use the cotton to clean away the excess paint. Be gentle as you don't want the paint in the groove to be removed as well. Use the Q-tips for the more "sensitive" locations. This gives you additional precision. F. Depending on your efforts, some touch up work may be required. So, paint again. This is why a fine brush is critical, especially if you're looking to paint precise sections of the logo etc. G. Do the same with other colours/grooves as you deem fit. This is a good guide with pictures. Enjoy | |

Nope. Isn't difficult at all, really. In fact, it was quite straight forward. If the nail polish can remove the paint, then there is no difficulty in removing the paint later (if you want to repaint a diff colour).

| paintfilling is actually really easy. you don't really have to remove the original paintfill. whilst it is true that removing it will help your new paintfill catch on better and last longer, the downside is that you will no longer have the option of reverting to the original paintfill.
i just use a paint marker and some nail polish remover. just smudge over the grooves, wait for 1 minute, then wipe over quickly (in one direction) with nail polish remover. i don't have the patience of waiting for 1-2 hours for the paint to dry. from my experience, the 1 minute is gd enough since my paintfills have lasted all this while without coming off. of course this also depends on how fast your paint dries. some dry faster than others.
