Game improvement device - 3bays GSA (Golf swing analyzer)

Hi all, finally I got my hand on this gadget and tried it out at the range. I am impressed by it and the information of my golf swing that this gadget provides.

Rather then me bragging about it, I reposted a feedback from a user from the US. It is 3 pages long but for those whom like to get more info, this is a good bed time read

looks like a nifty little gadget. similar to swingbyte but smaller and looks much easier to attach to the club

the only 'problem' is that it doesn't actually track the actual ball flight. so u may have the nicest looking swing ( as many of us do during our practice swings), but if u don't impact the ball correctly and the ball goes haywire, will this device be able to tell u (by tracking the impact position etc) that your shot was haywire, or will it simply tell u that u had executed a great swing?

hi Scottycollector, yes you are right. This gadget does not track the ball flight nor does it pretend to do that at all.

While I consider myself a bit more to a technical golfer who likes to know my own swing statistics, I always have an issue with simulator ball flight and even those that are captured with Trackman. Nothing beat seeing your own ball flight after you hit the ball and get a sweet and soft feel. Like you said, even with the nice looking swing - the ball flight might be haywire sometime. But I can safely said, if your swing path is on plane and with the right club speed and square face, 8 out of 10 times, the ball flight will be decent enough.

Anyway, for me, this is a good gadget to supplement and compliment one's training in the range. Rather that needing someone to flim you while you swing, or setting up a recording device, this gadget allow you to do it on your own.

Always good to have game improvement devices. Just need to make sure that they live up to the hype. Scottycollector makes a great point on it not tracking ball flight though.

Question:

This device plugs into the base of the grip. I noticed that during installation of grip, the fitter will usually tape over the back of the shaft and cover the hole. Will pushing this device into the grip puncture the tape and hence cause debris/moisture to enter the shaft???
