I'd rather Singapore table tennis team win bronze and get their $250K... I feel they also work hard to reach to that level and ought to be rewarded...

250K for 4 years of hardwork is abt a 5k/mth salary.

And they MAY or MAY NOT get it depending on performance.

honestly for the amount of effort and training. its not dat spactacular.

P.S, Poland also has a PRC import in their Team. I wonder if their country men make as much noise as our little island about it.

These players already localized, some may even live in HDB flats (I know Flying Dutchman does). I dont see any difference between us(Spore born Singaporean) and them.

can we import jap or Korean instead? at least they're better looking

I think it is much more than 250k. God knows how much we have spent to "buy" them over and to maintain them.

There is a Singaporean but she's a reserve. I used to play table tennis during my primary school years. I think they should have let her play instead of the pr. Just one true Singaporean is enough to please the citizens.
