| so we have a load of golfers coming to try out the wedges, including some very discerning golfers who are very particular about the wedges. the burning question on every one's mind was why it felt so compact and different from the wedges out there. the answer is still on thread starting post but we now have some pictures to share with those who are interested. To get the CG of each wedge, we balance them on the Centre of Gravy (CG) finder. then we lined them up to get all the face aligned at the same hosel position here's a closer look... no guessing which wedge has the friendiest and most centred CG in the lot. enjoy and now you know why the wedges are friendly, feel great and produce better feedback. the other secret is in the ground to hosel depth. | Dgman, I reckon you share similar philosophies with Maltby who's a proponent of lower and more centered (further from hosel) CoG. Interestingly, the other brands CoG line up about the same location. some more left than others a bit.
I reckon also for those whose ball marks are bunched up near heel, the BFG wont feel as as solid, and the ikasu (raw black finish one) will feel better

| X marks the spot where you will contact the ball. so go figure out where its best to have the CG. the BFG wedges are designed using solidworks where are can pre-determined where we want to put and take out weight. tis very versatile and the proof is in the pudding.
PS..if you want to get one thats extremely close to the hosel, go try a Miura K grind.

| Just curious. Seems like most of the major manufacturers have the sweet spot nearer to the hosel. Why is dat the case. Is is coz the pros hit it at tat spot? | |

| Tested this wedge at kepple on sunday.
It is really beautiful and have a character of it's own. I would dare say, it's the best looking wedges around. The way BFG label the loft is a classy act, Vx9. The 2 dimple will be a great branding icon.
I tested the Vx9, very well grind with a subtle bounce. The spin is excellent and the feel is soft. My only complain is a tad to light for my liking.
Great job, BFG - Eric! | |

| the photographers are Edmund and his wife, Angela. they are professional photographers who take golf, industrial projects and photo-journalist type pictures. they are my customers and this is a project that they do as a special favour.
Lenny, the wedges are not out yet and you are asking for colours? although FrostEE have been exploring but nothing is being planned for now.
Do you want pink or white?

| just a sidetrack..madmaru came to the Den searching for the Lamkin Performance Plus Gen3 Wedge Grip. Found 2 in the sample bin and had a go at them. the extra 1 inch longer grip is actually very useful, feels and plays well. it comes in black or white and will probably be available in a week's time. it is also found standard on the new TM wedges.
