| many thanks slinger..it really helps to have some knowledge/comfort on the course. it looks like the driver will come out on hole 4, 6 and 7 only. the rest hybrids come into play since it's not that long but sounds very tight. hole 9, maybe hit 3 wood to have a chance at a comfortable second shot on uphill greens. or maybe even lay up twice and try to pitch and hope can 2 putt for bogey back nine pls? when you coming to town for lunch? | |

| I put my scorecard from my recent game here for your reference.. Hole 1: MUST GIR. If not, like me, will make bogey for sure. thick rough and bunkers on right side of green. Don't go there. Hole 9: Favour right side of fairway to avoid being blocked by trees on left. Severe uphill 2nd shot. Take one club more. Hole 12: Plenty of fairway towards the right off your tee shot, but for 2nd and 3rd shot, bring it closer towards the left part of the green to avoid trouble on the right. If back pin, take 1 club more. Hole 13: Very elevated tee. I used a #7 and went a club too far. If front pin, you can use a #9 and watch the ball roll towards the front apron. Even if back pin, nothing more than a #7. Hole 14: Aim left of fairway using a rescue or #4. Better leave a long iron into the green than slicing or hooking your tee shot with a driver. Trouble on right. Hole 15: Same strategy as Hole 14. Hole 16: Slightly uphill Par 3. Much depends on pin position. +/- 1 club for back/front respectively. Aim centre of green and 2 putt. Hole 17/18: Avoid drivers off the tee for these 2 holes unless you're as confident as Nick Watney. Take 3W or 4H and aim centre of green no matter where the flag is. Going flag hunting on these 2 holes could spell disaster. Have fun and putt well. Practice your long putts, you're gonna have plenty of those.. | |

| Thanks mate. Another 2 specific questions a) Which holes driver off tee definitely spells trouble b) Which holes driver can be used. I am playing against some long hitters (>230m driver), and need to know which holes to get my extra shots on. | |

| BTW, since we last met, i am shooting consistently mid-90's now after ditching my driver. We should do a game one of these weekends. Giving me 12 strokes should be just about right? | |

b) Which holes driver can be used. #3 (But don't slice). The rest 3 wood is ok.
