Sentosa Tanjong FR - Course Guide

hi fellas

Would appreciate your help to share your experiences or advice on playing Tanjong course in Sentosa.

I have a game there in two weeks and my office colleagues are going to saddam me..need all the help I can get It's a corporate game so most prolly off white.

the hole by hole layout description in the sentosa website doesn't help much coz there is no picture to visualize the shots/club selection. The site doesn't even have hole yardages. If you keep a scorecard, I dont mind picking it up at your place

Aiyoh, just hit straight..... Never play there before so cannot advise.

Duffy, cannot hit straight all the time, there are some doglegs... hit straight means ball go swimming one...

Hoping Slinger would have something on Tanjong. Only played reasonably well at Kranji with his notes copied to my iphone. My best score at occ was when Blee told me where to hit from tee to green, I didn't need to think just hit. I just love cheat sheets

Halo.... I say hit straight but never say with which club mah.... unless all your 14 clubs go the same distance.

PS... I believe the buggies are equipped with GPS!
If in doubt just lay up to a comfortable distance

Yup. Tanjong course is GPS equipped like MBGC. Quite shiok.

PS... Monday's are my worst days at work!
Usually super busy the start of the week, Thursday or Fridays would be better

and mondays are my bests...my bosses on the west coast, all still sleeping

white tees...

hole 1: 290m short par 4, ravine at about the 90-100m mark (i think), but cfm no driver unless u cheong for the green, play 170-180m from the tee, both left n right of fairway also mati, but quite a huge green, 2 tiers, 1st shot is premium.

hole 2: 144m par 3, downhill elevation, 1-2 club difference depending on wind n pin, but its a HUGE green, surrounded by bunkers right n behind. nice view on the houses there

hole 3: 436m par 5, left water, right OB, right side flanked by trees, left fw bunker 230m, right fw bunker 240m, if not going for 2 on, managed the hole well, keep ball in play, not a difficult hole, important for 1st shot to find fw....

hole 4: 328m par 4, right OB, no problem carrying the water from the tee-box, but tight fairway, but left side fw better, blue pin is difficult, just play short of pin n putt from there.

hole 5: 116m par 3, downhill elevation, huge green

hole 6: 464m par 5, downhill elevation from tee, if long hitter, might ran out of fw n into the water, left of fw is water, i think 220-230m is ok from the tee, then lay up with mid/short irons (both left n right of fw is water), shd left a wedge shot to the green

hole 7: 320m par 4: both left n right of fw is water, think got bunker right but cant remember, not much recollection

hole 8: 300m par 4, a hook from the tee is water, right is forested, need to manage well since its a short hole.

hole 9: 354m par 4, index 1, slight dogleg left, right bunker 210m (from the tee), left bunker 220-230m(same), both sides flanked by tall trees, approach shot with uphill elevation, huge green....
