Good reminder, I better check how long I took to hit a shot (including my rountine).

Somebody say I am slow but my wife always say I am fast ROFL

That would be my last game with him.

This is my line " You can take your time; but please don't take mine" ROFL

If the weather is cooling like Genting, i don't really mind, have some beer while waiting. In fact, i would enjoy more with slow pace provided in a cool weather.

I had the experience playing with a slow player, tee-off or irons, he took the time like reading greens. And always hold the club up aiming like Robert Karlson in his pre-shot routine; but took much longer. We F*** him teasingly and told him to stop praying and just take his shots.

Few holes later, we asked for permission and took our shots althoug our balls were ahead of his. You could imagine how f*** his buggy's mate game on that day was.

With due respect to everyone's opinion. ( No harsh reaction pls )

I don't mind if I play with slow Golf kaki's, specially newbies.
We at one point in time also played "Crazy Golf"
spraying balls left and right...

Whats the real issue here is...

#1) Golf is not like Boxing or Basketball where you are limited to time, like you have to execute a shot within 24 or 30seconds.

#2) Golf is a gentleman's game. If he is your kaki / business associate/ relative or neighbor
why be "harsh" on him / her if he/ she plays slow.

There are "still no rules" on slow play

"Golf Slow Players" have "confidence & sort of mental problems"
We just have to be patient and just focus on your shot and not focused on the slow play of your kaki.

In my case, for example, if I make a Two "On" on par 4 or a "Three On" on a Par 5

I just patiently wait for my kaki to hit his shot. In return, I would practice hitting my chip or pitch shot and see if I can hit it nearer to the Pin.

I think you can do this "practice" shot if your kaki is slow. Specially if he can't find the ball and your on the green.

I would just go down and hit maybe two or three balls or practice my sand shot

And if he/ she is on the green, thats the time I go up and make a putt.

Lets be reminded that there are people who are like Kevin Na, and there are people who behaves like Rory. No practice swing, they just hit the ball.

You can't teach them how, they just have to learn and learn how to deal with it.
( What I am saying is...its like Parking a Car...Some can park their car fast and some would take 3 to 4 times before they can park their car. )

Lets be reminded that Golf is a game to relaxed and for enjoyment.
Coz some do not play Good when you pressure them. The more you "tail" on them.

The more you talk to them and ask them to play a little faster the more they will hit a bad shot. And a bad shot will make things more Bad for the flight.

Just ignore the Ugly things and focused on what you have and enjoy the day

I think you are missing the point bro. We all understand slow play and can be tolerant since we were "once upon a time" in the same boat before. If the front players are slow, it would be courteous to ask/allow the flight/s behind to pass. I would do that as a matter of courtesy and to avoid affecting other people's game.

I agreed, everyone were once a beginner. Imho, if you are really not up to the standard to play blue tee, don't play just because you are paying full fee. 1st you don't enjoy, 2nd you'll be holding everyone behind up. If the marshal started chasing you, you felt pressurized and you'll more likely to screw up the next few holes.

Play to a more reasonable pace. cheers

slow cause beginner i dont mind...slow on the greens is a killer......if one cannot 1-2 putt, no point spending minutes checking the line.....even saw a guy check the line from all 4 sides for EVERY PUTT.....even the tap in putt, must practice a few times!!!!! of course that guy always 2-3 putt...

The others also never check their line before hand...only do their routine when its their turn.

Bros, the topic reads "If....and I say if....you happen to in a flt with a slow playing golfer...." meaning to say we are not aware of the slow player prior to the game. But If it is known upfront, and we decided to play, then i believe we would have set the expectations, so as the tolorence to the right level.

I believe nobody would want to spend few hours and some $$$ but not enjoying the game.

If one of my flight mates are slow, I will automatically tell him/her to speed up or I will ask the flight behind to pass at the next hole, if possible a Par 3 if the slow coach is still slow.

I think rather than giving them the owe u million dollar stare or remarks, maybe can try to give them some pointers on speeding up and cut off those unneccessary time wasting habits.

just my opinion Peace

My friend played with a flight of ****** in MBGC on sunday, he told me from 1pm they played until 7pm...that's slow play, lost ball - take ages to find, go water dig balls, take very long time to putt etc etc....all these add up to really slow golf.

Ok. This is what I understand from your story.

1) They're a******s for wanting to tee off from white since they're beginners.
2) you are annoyed that they could not keep up with u guys from the blue tee tho from start u already know they're beginners.
3) You only find them nice when they disappeared after the turn.
4) After all that u blame the management for pairing up beginners with a good player like u.

Mbgc is a public course, I'm sure u already knew that right ? Why not just play from white and join them instead ? Tho they're late, can't u be more gracious instead ? U too good for the white tee ?

Really sorry mate, in NZ flashing lights means "I will give way to you" here it means " get out of my way or I will run you down"!

Whahaha....u re so smart! Very Happy
Didnt knw u d e same experiences as well too. cheers
I m glad i m nt alone. Wink

Ur definitely alone here in your somewhat twisted perception of ethics and grace. Remind me not to join u in any of ur games. cheers Peace

Oh...tats disappointg. Crying or Very sad
I can offer to tee off fm red just fr u lor! Wink
Drop yr name shld u desperately needed a game.
Tx. Very Happy
