| Wah... nice pics. The Par 4 looks scary. I feel like I'll be busy ball-hunting on this course. Dave, you should organize a GR-expedition there! | |

| The golf looks nice but it seems like accuracy is a MUST off the tee. | |

Yes yes... Mr. Lam, you played there before ?
The caddies are very knowledgeable and lots of them are single handicappers too. Every Monday, in some golf course there in Bandung they hold their own small tournament for Caddies only... Have not had a chance to play there but heard so much from my Bosses .. only played all the courses in Bali ... anyone keen to go Bandung , Surabaya for golf , i am ok to join ...

yeah man....the course looks really nice..... In contrary, you don't have to do ball hunting, seriously. Because you have willing caddies to find your missing ball from your wayward shots everywhere they go. Unless they went totally to the forest, then they can't find lah. And.... if your caddies can't find, there're lots of kampong kids who really go to the forest and find for you. You just need to bail your ball back for a very small amount (like 20c-1$, up to you) I'd love to make an arrangement for people to play there... but I think there's one chap here in Singapore who can arrange to play there (including all the transport there which is a big problem). To start off, Air Asia fly to Bandung on daily basis. They charge $18 for sports/golf equipment. Decent hotel to stay is Hilton, Sheraton, and Hyatt... Maybe someday I'll arrange one for you guys

| In spite of the heavy rain, many lady ang mo golfers (3 and 4 ball flights) and literally running from hole-to-hole as the course was busy this morning (EGC), I was only 7 over off the blue/white tees. The groups in front were kind to let me thru.
Some doubted I was able to play much better than them and just wanted to get ahead of them, but after hitting the greens from the tees (five pars today--no birdies), they let me thru.
The rain was heavy the last two holes--I had to putt with one hand holding my umbrella!
Unless there is fun 19th hole activities or I am with my close kakis, I enjoy playing solo--especially two balls at NSRCC, EGC or JCC Exec course.
Can concentrate better and need not try to impress anybody.
An exception is if the flight is both men & women as the guys will play more seriously to impress the girls usually.

| JT: If only I did nearly as well on full-size courses. My best score at Tanglin GC was +4 over nine holes. My short distances off the tee (only about 180m carry) and when hitting fairway woods on the course sux and costs me 30 - 50 metres per hole. I have been trying to get my putt averages lower and obtain more accuracy within 100 metres of the greens--greenside chipping & pitching. I will switch back to graphite shafted irons with half-cavity back forged heads, and also get lighter woods also in future. I am not getting younger unfortunately. CK | |

| I didn't know that playing solo golf was such a common thing.. and to think i was a little paiseh for the first 2 holes.. Responding to UL's post, i agree that golf is a social game and that it's definitely more fun when you do it with friends. However, there will be times when you're so itchy to golf, but can't find any partners.. just remember there's no harm going solo. You'll probably still have a good time | |

| I do golf alone.
In fact, i have planned out 3 solo rounds next week on weekdays.
I find playing alone very therapeutic. It gives me time to think about things. If i am not thinking about things, the solitude enables me to appreciate the natural surroundings. Also, I used this solo rounds for practise and very often will hit a few shots.

| I agree as my work involves so much talking, listening and interacting with peeps all day long, it's hard to get time just to be alone for reflection and concentration. For me golf is also theraputic--if I play reasonably well or accomplish by intended goals for the day. Ben Hogan & Mo Norman were very introverted (shy) guys and prefered practicing and playing alone. Today, both are considered two of the best ball-strikers to play this venerable game. CK | |

| Bro Nientsu, next time you wanna play solo... shout out here. There'll definitely be others who wouldn't mind joining in. Unless, you want time to reflect and ponder about life, the universe and Megan Fox. | |
