| Any ex Monash, Uni Melb, laTrobe, RMIT alumni or folks familiar with Melbourne to recommend a good golf course?
Thinking of playing a round there this Sunday and maybe on next Thursday morning.

| Victoria and Royal Melbourne are obviously the most famous ones. Waiting list for an outsider to play is various years however, so not an option!
There are many courses around, I played at Brighton, par 70 or 69 or so, quite a nice and easy course in the heart of nice community!
There is also a high school international tournament in the upcoming days, ends on Friday. They are using 3 courses, so these courses are in great shape I heard... Maybe you should check one of those out. More info on schoolsgolf dot com.

| If you're into food, can I recommend the following in Melbourne:
1. +39 Pizzeria and Degustation Bar 2. Cumulus Inc l3. ittle creatures dining hall 4. Papa Goose
I spent three months there last year and enjoyed the food, although a little expensive.
The golf too was great. | |

Are they open to walk-in visitors? Rates? I am planning to play in Melb late July. Freedrop.. You need to check yourself online.. Go to their website or call them to ask.. In Australia.. some better courses have overseas visitor rates.. Normal courses do not have that difference in pricing.. So it is best to ask yourself.. Am not in Aust..

| All tee time everywhere have to book..
Even in Hong Kong.. worse.. If you don't book.. don't even bother to play..
The better courses you go to.. You got to book much much earlier..
