speaking of hybrid, somehow i just cant really hit hybrid, most of the time i topped it. i can hit 4i much better than hybrid. any advice from bros here on how to hit solid with hybrid? thanks
I have 3i to 5i hybrid clubs that I do not use now because of the stiff flex. But from my previous experience with these clubs, if you play the ball more to your right leg (middle of stance) it would work well. That means, hitting down on the ball.
By the way, I am a lousy golfer who happens to somehow have a little experience using these clubs.
Cheers!

Baby I was born this wayyyy~......
hahahahahahhahaha
on another note.. yes.. agree with TDO.. hybrids are meant to hit just like an iron.. lots of players mistook hybrids to be used the same way as woods..
from what I know.. for woods.. u hit similar to driver.. skimming along the ground.. hitting the ball at the lowest point of the swing or on the way up.. hence ball should be more towards left foot.. as for hybrids.. hit down on the ball.. like as if you are trying to compress the ball.. hence ball should be more towards centre of stance..

As fortune teller says, I have too much fire in my "ba zhi"
So as predicted, I've never got along well with woods.
I've used irons throughout, with my driver the only exception.

And last to add... I can't really hit a fade with these hybrids... In my hands all I know is how to get draws from them... Makes it tougher to check too..
Bro, what are you talking about? With your distance off the tee, you should be using short irons or wedge onto the green, sure can check! why are you talking about checking with a hybrid and all? Hitting a hybrid over a bunker to a red pin? Must be the second shot on a par 5. Kekeke.
On a serious note, I thought you really did not like hybrids.

I used not to like them... But of late they're game savers for me... My irons are only working till 5i.. today was a good example. Many second shot left with 170-180m due to the pulled drives...
U got any suggestion for higher launch shafts ? Gonna reshaft my 4h soon..

Don't know much about high/low launch. Why don't you try the cheap and good steel shafts like crossfire or KBS? ANd if you want something launching a little higher, maybe the NSPro can be a choice. Go for the steel shaft, cheap and good.

just relax... no need to rush on the downswing / back swing. It' really is the same like your 7 iron with a little twist i.e. ball position is more to the left side .
One thing I find useful is to open up a bit on address for the face and body a bit closed (fade setup). the more relax and swing like your swing is the better it is with these long clubs.
good luck.

Great video!!! Thats how you get axis tilt and a shallower path ... 2 of the 3 critical prerequisites for hitting long irons!

correct me if im wrong, the longer the club, all the more you need to have a good feel of the club head. i think keeping that in mind can help discourage you from forcing, and allow you to focus on the rhythm.

from what you are describing, why you can hit your hybrids and not your 4i, likely you are scooping your shots rather than hitting it down. hybrids have a large sole so it wont ding into the ground like a 4i does. Think about hitting it down on your 4i. Try it out.
