| Has been playing used clubs for the last 2 years and my swing still inconsistent. I have somehow felt difficulty swinging at ease with a good follow-thru, especially with my shorter irons. I have always been told by golfers around me that it is the "swing and not the club" and hence did not bother to seek out a club fitter...
After much frustrations.... Finally decided to make a trip to the Den. DGman quickly recognised the possible problem with my irons. I was recommended by DGman to custom fit my clubs due to the length required to suit my bio-mechanics.
DGman got me to try a 7-iron CB003j with KBS Tour demo and I must say that for the first time since I started playing golf, I am swinging at ease and feeling great hitting the balls again and again. The feeling of hitting the ball well and landing them where you expected most of the time is addictive and simply sweet and delicious...
starting to visualize nice rounds of golf week in week out with a set of these and building my clubs around the iron set....
Sounds like I am poisoned?

| My first trip to BFG was to cut short my putter. But Eric decided to go the extra mile and adjust everything possible with the putter to suit me best. Remembered feeling intimidated when I first stepped into the studio.. thinking "what the heck is a lousy golfer like me doing here?". I mean I can't even hit properly and I seldom play on the course.. and the only time i break 100 is when I play Mandai. But Eric made me feel at home with his great service and humble chats.
Long story short.. i heard so much about the BFG irons but never dreamed that I would ever want to own them simply because I'm not 'there yet'. But when my coach (Pro Malek Talib) talked to me about changing to graphite shaft, I did not hesitate and brought him to see Eric. While waiting for his Ping iron to be reshafted, Eric asked him to try out the BFG irons. I remembered when he hit the first shot with the BFG iron, he turned to look at me with his jaws wide open. He told me that it's the sweetest iron he has ever hit.
Short story shorter, I somehow managed to get my hands on a set of BFG irons recently (thanx Eric!!!). But i was injured so i couldn't try the clubs in the studio. When i recovered, I took the clubs to the range.. and I couldn't understand why my coach had such reactions when he tried the irons. I wasn't convinced.. and it didn't feel that much different to deserve a jaw-wide-open reaction.
But i somehow had an idea to check the lie. Sneaked out of office to rush to Keppel and had my lie adjusted. Took the irons to range that same night.. and the result..... MY JAWS DROPPED!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously folks.. im a lousy golfer.. and i could feel the difference. My coach is a playing pro.. and he felt the difference. It is really day and night.
Not sure if this is important, but I was using Tourstage irons before this. Now i'm using the BFG irons with SF i80.. and I'm damn proud of it!!!!!!!!!

| @ahnah - Yes.. Pro Malek from Bishan Range. But I started lessons with him back in 2006. Then I stopped golfing for 5 years.. and started again last year. Decided to take lessons from him again with a couple of frens.. at that time he was freelancing at turf city range. I fing that he's a very good old school golf coach.
If you know him.. you must have heard him talking non-stop about his new Zen putter!!!!!.. hahahahhaha

| @ahnah - Not sure how the school operates.. but i usually recommend to learn from him direct coz u will then be able to restrict the class size. If go with the school it is usually in groups of 6 i think. U will definitely learn better if the class size is small.. max 3 students ah. | |
