| As topic puts it, how many strokes should a 11-HCP give a 20-HCP?
Also, should the 11 handicapper tee off from blue whilst the 20 handciapper gets to tee off from white?
Let's just say I am having a "friendly" competition with my brother and his friend tomorrow morning. I pulled in a fellow 20-hcp (same as me) whilst that **** pulled in his 11-hcp friend.
We have been arguing on strokes for a day.

| I think the 20hcp shld be a man and play level.
However, a 15 hcper shld get 3-3 fm the 11hcper
Just my view | |

| You need to consult Mloy for the finer points. I think people here not as 'established' as her when it comes to this subject | |

| As a 24 hcp playing with a 15 hcp.
Excerpt from the stroke negotiation.
"Hello, my name is Mloy, give me 9-9."
<end of negotiation, any further details are redundant>

| Then you must say 9-9 cannot.. how about 6-9 instead? negotiate back mah!

| I am sorry, I made a mistake. It should be like in red
An American friend of mine is sitting right in front of me now. He told me this after I saw your question.
He says it is not an offical system but many used this system in the States. It is called system 39 (not system 36) and it is rather fair system to use.
Used number 39 and sustract individual HCP = points
example :
Your HCP 20 - 39 = 19 points Your friend HCP 11 - 39 = 28 points
Subtract or add as per each hole you played
Eagle - 3 Birdies - 2 Par - 1 Bogey - 0 D bogey or more +1
You start using the point and start subtract or add to the point as you play every holes. The lower point after 18 holes will be the winner
Example :
Hole1 :
You started with 19 points. You bogey the 1 hole. You remind as 19. 19 points going into hole 2.
Your friend with 28 points. He par the 1 hole. 28 - 1 = 27 point into hole 2
Hole2 : you par, 19 -1 = 18 point going into hole 3
Your friend, birdes. 27 - 2 = 25 points going into hole 3

| Bruuder, my rationale is if the 20 hcp is a genuine one , then more likely your bro will not max out and use all his good shots la...
But against 15 hcp , I don't think he will hold back and such, the 3-3
Make sense boh? | |

| Of course, the other normal method will be.
The HCP 11 will give HCP 20 a total all 9 strokes
One stroke given on Hole index from 1 to 9
