| means you are playing 18 holes and the better golfer is giving 2 strokes per 9 holes.
it like i play off 10 handicap vs 14 handicap so the 10 handicap gives the 14 handicap 4 strokes.
also means the 14 handicap gets strokes on the 4 most difficult holes on the course- index 1-4. usually the index 1 and 3 are on one 9 and the 2 and 4 are on the second 9.

| oh ok...sounds deep.... so to explain if i were a 21 handicap against a 23 handicap,
i would have to give 2 strokes on 18 holes? 1 stroke on the toughest index 1-3 on 1st 9 and same on the 2nd 9?
What is the most that has been given?

| Kilo, it will come naturally to you after a few games.. look like you are really new to wagers.. go for small wager initially, like 5 5 10 and not 50 50 100 for a start. Generally, also if you are new to a group, you will ask for "review back nine".. so if you lose front nine more than 2 holes, it's normal to increase by 1 stroke, or lose more than 5 holes, review 2 strokes etc.. For old buddies, they know what "stroking" to give and take.. Btw, this also applies to handicap matchplay tournaments. The organiser sometimes decides %tage of strokes to give, such as 100% or 80% strokes.. good luck to your golf and betting, haha!

| I also come across betting system suc as half -1-1 or half -1-2 etc where its the handicap given for a par 3, par 4 and par 5.
half -1-2 Meaning that par 3 u get half stroke, par 4 get 1 stroke and par 5 get 2 stroke handicap.

| Yes and after giving 1-1-2 to the ladies here (some even super "daring" and give 1-2-3), lots of GRians join B.V.A (Buayee Victim Anonymous)....
