| This could be the most sensitive topic in the Golfing history.....but someone somehow somewhere has to raise this....so let it be this forum
Personally I am of the view that if I need to ask for more than 5-5, its obvious I have a lot to work on and should not bet with the other golfer..... If the score between us is < 3 strokes gap, I will choose to play level.... | |

| I think base on strokes its not really a good gauge. Cos in the first place, the bets are based on match play and not stroke play. So it has to be strictyly based on the previous encounter. Total no. of holes won/lost will be divided by 2 and add on to the next game.

| I like Capt's version. Based the stroking on how many pars (and birdie) a person can normally produce in a round.

| A practice is to adjust aft 1st 9. For every 2 holes that you win, normally, it means 1 additional stroke for an index hole for the opponent. Is this a common practice? | |

| KK, that's a practive we usually follow. The tricky part is when two golfers or teams match up for the first time. Asking for the number of pars/birdies (on a avg & good day) is easily tracked. If a person want to buaya, he can say I play high 80s, then would have string of pars and blow out few holes intentionally to reach say mid-80 score. But if somebody says to me I average 5 pars on a good day and he actually gets 9 or more, then that's a sign that I have just been hustled lor | |

| Depending on where you are on the fish food pyramid, I'd say 3-3 is good gauge of stroking gap between one fish group to the next one. the blue fish group of players can break 80 (Level with ASS liao) the green fish plays 81-88 the orange fish plays around 89-96 (SB rules!) the smallest fish play 97 and beyond Following Duval's principle, it would be foolish for Bad Boys to send invitation to any of the blue fish brothers | |

| I am sure its not foolish, PS.... take it as a gauge and push factor(of course with strokes given by blue fish) I am sure you and DS have improve since and have an idea where you stand... i am a advocate for playing up field if one self wants to improve. | |

| yes Capt. that's what we did, and why we form the bad boys. So orange fish can have a chance to play with bigger fish hahaha. DS and I have improved since our game and reunion tour still in plan. But still must gather some mojos and moolah first | |

| TSS, the trick is to play up field immediately above you. You play two fields up then prepare for the shock and AWE treatment | |

| The moment we stay in a comfort zone in the same kampong and socialise within we become "myopic" in our vision ! | |
