Must be I too lousy that everyone wants to teach me how to golf.
Anyway, I usually entertain them by asking them to demonstrate. Then if they really suck, then I bet with them the following games: 1) Uncle on chipping green, 3 balls closest to pin 2) Uncle at driving range... see who can send a ball to the back of the net 3) Uncle at driving range again (as he say his driver is short)... 8 iron, see who can hit further
If they are good, then most prob they will not be giving "advice" in the first place.
I like this one. good idea bro ...

| i wish somebody would have told me my swing sucks.....swing tips i dont really listen too much (some good some bad...theory we all should know liao)...what i need is ppl to point out my mistakes. We all more or less know some theory, however we cannot tell if we are swinging properly. Camera is good for latter analysis but by next range time, all forgotten liao. a 2nd or 3rd pair of eyes is good for instant feedback on our swing. (of course if the uncle's is fixed on a XMM butt, that is useless). Feedback on swing dont need much skill or experience. A chicken wing is a chicken wing, many people dont know they have it until they record themselves (from side view, which is not easy to setup in a busy range) or some1 tell them they have it. i use to think i swing ok ....went on for quite long period (range 2,3 even 4x a week)....on course got a few good holes (a few birdies) and many bad holes making me think i am on track (just need to be consistent). Even distance off the tee was quite good. Only after going to RSS (for free analysis), i realize how bad my swing was. Too bad got no $$ for coaching and subsequently less and less range time (now also zero range time)...so stuck with bad swing. IF only some uncle have pointed out my mistakes.... .. i also dont mind XMM telling me "wahhh your hit sooo long one...." PS some tips are very very harmful if it is not suited for u. Its may well work for many but it may not be 4 u.

I chip 10 balls, you chip 3. Closest to hole win. 2) ASS... Uncle, you such a good golfer that i think you can take them on. I will arrange the game and be the broker.

PS some tips are very very harmful if it is not suited for u. Its may well work for many but it may not be 4 u. Bro Tronos, I think the issue here about the advice is many of them are uninvited... Before all my kakis deserted me, there was a time (many many years back) when we would go ranging together and comment on each others swing. I think the same would be fine during Stary Stary Night sessions at MBGC between GRians. These socilitated feedback are fine and should be encouraged. The thing is advice from uncles in the range that are uninvited and some will even continue to blabber even though you told them off nicely. That is when my betting games begin.
