Yeah if you are playing 110, dun bet with someone playing in the 70s. Even if you win base on the strokes given, there's no joy/glory/satisfaction.

just focus on improving and have milestones of breaking 110, 100, 90, etc etc.

Wah you guys are confusing me and did I see $500?!?! *gulp*

So let me give an example to see if I get it right. For example my handicap is 24 and say pushslice's handicap is 16. So say he give me 4-4. Does that mean 4 of the most difficult holes in the front 9 and 4 on the most diff 4 holes?Yes Meaning if the most diff hole is a par 5 and if I had a bogey and pushslice had a par, we will be even for this hole and basically we will be betting for only 4 holes in the front nine and the rest are friendly? You bet the full 18 holes... just that for those 8 holes, you get the advantage of an extra stroke deducted from your overall score.
So the maximum is a 9-9? 9-9 is already alot...What happens if one usually plays 78 and another who usually play 110, how many strokes should be given?then the one playing 110 should not even consider betting No

Hope this helps.. tongue

Hmm......the chipmunk grooming a potential meat.....

In this situation, getting 9-9 is not necessarily a good thing. You should ask for 1-2-3.

Par 3, you get 1 stroke deducted from actual stroke,
Par 4, you get 2 strokes,
Par 5, you get 3 strokes,

It might level the playing field abit in your favour
