1) this event is planned in haste, thus time is working against u n klt
2) although the objective is defined, but intention din not reach all golfers
3) there shd be a executive team to manage the event


i dun know when the idea conceptualise but i think for future game, u will need 3-4 weeks of preparation to make the event great.....

i do wish u guys to have good fun this sunday.... all the best

Would love to play with Paul Chong. Heard he has changed to a new putter and have been putting well.

i think many of u are concerned over the unbalanced team.. i m sure klt will negotiate and come out with the best solution to make it fair.. ie. take strokes from the stronger players...

if i m not wrong, in order to let everyone be involve in this game, the score of the partners will be added up together to determine that holes score...

so if hcp 0 partner hcp 20 .. vs hcp 15 partner hcp 10... i think this will even things out...

any suggestions would be appreciated..

Just one last question. So trophy(not sponsored or represent GR) are not allow if we want to use GR as a communication Platform to organize a game.
If that is the case, I will take note of such so that it will not appear in this forum.

It's ok. We are just glad that we suddenly have so many players. The planning for this little ryder cup format will be done in haste as the idea was only thought out not long ago. However, as long as we get the ball rolling, I believe that future ryder cup games will see consistent improvements from one after another. So both KLT and I will "intentionally" plan this in a way that future planners will not have such a hard time in making future games better than this one.

Huh? Well... it's ok. I, personally, do not want to delve too deep into objectives and intentions. I just wanna have fun and be a Ryder Cupper. I guess I see myself as a Do'er. Start this off, let others improve it further. No point talking and planning but no execution.

In fact, I tend to think and over-analyze too much while playing golf. I should use this "do'er" mentality for my golf. Results should be better.

Let there be an executive team for future events. I just have a couple of really supportive friends who are ready to help me make things happen if I requested them to. Just to share with you, JB team is so excited about this Sunday that most of them are sharing their thoughts what else to do to make the game more fun. Yau wants everyone to wear the same color. He is making sure that happens. Andy helps by compiling all handicaps for me. Paul and CK are talking trash to raise the mood. As for the format of play, they do offer suggestions, but they are gracious enough to let me be their voice. They know that too many mouths will only make this decision a time-consuming one to make.

Moreover, there are only two very simple outcomes: Win or lose the match. And guess what? Winning or Losing on sunday is just for FUN!!! Nothing detrimental will happen if we lost. All of us are taking this is a totally "NOT SERIOUS" kind of mood. Sure, there bound to be something that we will screw up or overlook on Sunday, but... so what????

JB team does not need an executive team to manage a FUN and INFORMAL fool around session.

I am tasked with sourcing for good lunch for all 24 of us. Here's my proposal:

Restaurant: Eastern Dragon Seafood Restaurant. (VERY VERY GOOD!)
Owner is my golf kaki. So we always eat at his place after our saturday game. So I know for sure good.

Location: Opposite KSL City, corner unit.

Price: RM40.00 per pax. Does not include soft drinks/ alcoholic beverages. My phone battery is dead, but I will try to squeeze him to give us free soft drinks la.

Menu: He will plan for us. All carnivores here? If herbivore, pls voice out.

Please confirm whether you are attending the lunch.
