| I think is is darren clarke's claret jug to lose. Dustin johnson drove the ball longer and straighter. But darren's iron play from the rough and short game is just so solid! | |

Golf really is an old man's game! Bro, Dustin Johnson is below 30 years of age.
Darren Clark -7 Dustin Johnson -5 Phil Mickelson -4 You are right, by the time you saw my post. But when I posted, it was: Darren Clarke Phil Mickelson Thomas Bjorn Dustin Johnson Such is the challenging nature of links golf that it keeps the scores and positions fluid and the competition exciting.

Answers the question of long drive versus short game right?

| Just as Darren Clarke is. Congratulations to him and Irish golf. Maybe it's just me, but I find the British Open to be the most heartwarming to watch. The commentators and the tv coverage definitely play a huge part, kudos to Peter Aliss and gang. | |

| Dr. Nutella has a role, as it seems:
Quote
"Yes," said Clarke. "For ages now I've been working on technique; technique, technique, technique. Now I've decided just to hit the bloody ball and let it happen. And it seems to be working."

Answers the question of long drive versus short game right? Dustin OB one important shot in the 14th hole and resulted in a double bogey. He tried to draw the ball with his #2 iron but the strong wind caught it and pushed it beyond the OB stick. If not, he might have closed up the gap and force a sudden death playoff or win the Championship perhaps . Better luck next time Mr Big Hitter!

| All I can say the Americans (especially Phil & Dustin) who were in the leaderboard were not mentally strong enough to pressurize Darren. I guess only Tiger can do that in this kinda situation. | |

| This is what i think. Sometimes, you just need that arse luck to have the ball where you want it. For the Open, DC has got that. He plays like as if its a normal sunday morning walkabout game. I think on the 9th or 10th hole, he drove the ball onto a bad downward lie, about 190 yards to the green and in front of him were 2 deep bunkers. He hit his approach and the ball went between the bunkers, landed some way off the green, but it rolled onto the green and towrds the pin. Thats when i knew, God is watching the Open and is rooting for DC. | |

Sure can, but methinks the SG/MY champion will be drinking TsingTao out of the claret jug and speaking through a translator.
