Anyway, Clarke just birdied and goes to -6 sole lead. Phil almost birdied 3 hole ahead but missed by an inch...

Rain comes now. This is gonna be a thriller finish... hopefully it will finish today Razz

Correction, it was an eagle, Clarke's now at -7! He's draining his putts! And Phil just missed his birdie to take it to -6.

Let's see what the rain and wind throws into the mix. It becomes a whole different game altogether.

Really luck of the Irish!

Second shot at the 9th hole for Darren Clarke was off the left rough. The ball was below his feet and with a downhill lie towards an elevated green with two pot bunkers directly in the way.

He couldn't quite get the ball up and the ball scooted into one of the pot bunkers. And wouldn't you believe it, the ball climbed up the wall of the pot bunker (same as the Marina Bay ones) shot high up in the air and rolled onto the green. Even Clarke was bemused by how lucky he was.

At the same time, Phil just lipped out a 2 footer and dropped back to -5. Looks like he may be out of the running with such a careless mistake that typifies his hot and cold putting.

And Phil just drove into a pot bunker at the next hole. Not looking good for him.

Lucky it's a short par four with just a 100 yards from the shallow bunker.
