Well, the ZIM is a really great product.....just glad that my idol decided to game it for HSBC.
Praying for her that her game will 'up' for the next two days to come.
Heck lah, will be standing by on course to 'silently' cheer for her.

That is really great that she is using the putter this week!!! I wonder what her putting stats are for the week? I am sure they will improve as she gets used to the putter and becomes more comfortable with it.
I really liked the feel and look of it as well. Great product and should be a company on the rise.

OT abit, DGman, if u see this thread, when u sell the ZIM in the future, please let the buyer play a road with the putter first with a flt of den brokers like me. If kian were to pay later, he will even pay 700 for it. . U can see his confidence when he line up, all were near misses and sinking several long distance crucial pars. Scary!

I'm following this thread with interst.
HYP, with the ZIM putter (not all 4 days from wat I read), finished tied 37th position today, as compared to tied 11th in Thailand.
So is that down to the player or putter? I'm just asking out of curiosity, and not of malice (or any hidden agenda) as previous threads had claimed that it's a great product. If she did use the Ody today, maybe she needed to feel comfortable with her putting for today's round? It's only a guess.. Interestingly, she scored her lowest round today...
Having noted that, I would like to see the ZIM on tour again soon to check out it's effectiveness in the hands of pros during competition.
Once again, no malice intention. Thanks for reading.

im not being biased but feel that it is a very bold move for a LPGA player to game a new putter she got 1 or 2 days before in a reputable event...anyway by the 4th day, she prolly would have a better feel of the greens oredi....
so far i onli had a game with it so cant give a detailed FR...let me game it another 3-4 rounds before i gif my view
but all i can say for this mornin's game....i didnt subsidise much of duffy's green fees as what i usually will and if dgman asked for 700...i dont tink i will return the putter la....

In all honesty, the Zen requires a bit of getting used to. Bear in mind, its not a miracle drug in which once u buy it, all the putting worries will go away. While you are being fitted, boss Eric will provide you some drills to do, based on what faults you have. This I believe, will help you get you used to the Zen quicker.
IMO, first thing u need to get use to, is the 'extra roll' it produces. I trully believe the RDE technology works. The first time, i used it, i over-putted every hole. A bit of time on the practise greem is needed to help you get acquainted with this.
BTW, i still owe boss a FR on my beautiful red/black putter.......its on the way

Like kian & some others here, I was surprised that Park Hee Young used the ZIM in this tournament, though in a pleasant sort of way. being a heavier putter than what she is used to, it may take time for her to get used to it, in terms of distance control and and as nientsu pointed out, the pure roll produced by the putter. FYI, the Ody putter she gamed was not her regular putter; this putter was also acquired recently.
As for her final standing, methinks it was a mixture of player, greens and weather; probably reasonable factors for most good players not to perform during this tourney. It was that hot! The winds were also strong and erratic plus the relatively 'slow' greens (from reliable source), it was indeed tough course conditions for player to adjust to. So it was a matter of who reacts to the course conditions fastest and best to score for the tourney.
As for PHY game's I personally do not think it was her putting that let her down (be it ZIM or not). It was more of her taking too long to adjust well to the course set up. Point in case, at hole 6 yesterday, her drive found right side rough, with no clear shot at the flag due to overhanging branches and slightly blocked line of sight by the same tree. Me thot it was a tough shot to make (amateur thinking lah). Caddy Thot likewise too and advised her to punch it out low to fringe of green but PHY took a shot at the left side green and with the wins blowing left to right, her shot landed at the left side fringe. Great shot!!! Definitely a good show of mastering the wind condition at that hole. Compounded with her best score of the 4 days, I truly think it was down to player and not putter.
Having said so much, I am also very eager to see more of ZIM and how it performs. Hopefully can even hear and see more of PHY using the ZIM for the rest of the season.

thanks for the objective questions TiTW...
the ZEN is like any other putter out there is no guarantee for success on the tour. it is an instrument for making a putt. hence any player should be confident and know that instrument intimately enough before playing it competitively (unless its a paid endorsement).
if you follow us on tour, i can assure you that you will see very different aspect of competition at the greens. on the thai tour, our players are approach by all the other brands and they are promise all kinds of deals from daily fee for caddie, to appearance, finishing and winning bonuses.
just getting a few facts right...in thailand the week before HYP finished at the bottom 3 (tied 57) and had 2 final rounds of 77 and 80. if you read the fitting report, i mentioned that she had some problems with aiming and that was fixed and hopefully that has made her more confident. Regardless of what putter she use, it would be something that i would advise her.
if we look at a player like Rafa ECHENIQUE, he knows what the putter can do for him and despite being a Taylormade sponsored player, he keeps his word and use what he thinks works best for him.
Stuart Appleby use a ZEN to win the 2006 mercedes championship and when his agent's request was turned down, he stopped using it and had to wait a few years before winning again. John Daly used a ZEN at last years' season opener in Puerto Rico and score one of his best 4 games. the next week, he asked for appearance fee and guess what he got it...but not from ZEN.
Getting players to use any brand on tour is not what it used to be. if we do not have the big bucks, it will always be the major brands on TV. period.
however i am still hopeful that we will produce some great results if we keep pushing...just like our belief in Prom Meesawat. When everyone thinks he is a has-been, he bounces back and we don't know how far he will go this year.
last week...a few people asked me if HYP is ready to win. my answer was no...i have not seen the "fire in her eyes yet". but i will not rule her out of winning again this year. once she works on what she needs to do in the short game area, i am sure she will be a force. her driving and ball striking were superb this week and last week by the way.
in professional golf there is no guarantee if the nerves set in...who would have thought TW would succumb to Thomas Bjorn.

Hi TITW,
What interest me is the number of times you mentioned "no malice intended". No need lah. If you have a valid point, I am sure we can all benefit from it, sharing info and experiences. In fact, I noticed the responses following your post were actually more useful.
Anyway, having a good technology is not good enough in today's dog-eat-dog world. As Eric mentioned, you need a lot of muscles behind the product to push it. While that is happening, I believe the best way to convince yourself is to try the product. And don't forget to share your experiences objectively so that we can all benefit from it! Thanks in advance!
Cheers.

i personally don't think that TITW has any malice intended...i think i have spoken to him before and he sounds like someone who knows his stuff. he may have mentioned that because we have a lot of supporters here and do not want to offend anyone.
while i am happy to see tour players use our products, i will be even happier for them to do well coupled with the advice i give them.
take Soren Henson who spent half an hour asking me which putter he should use (T10 tour versus a GSS). i asked him to make 5 putts with each putter and timed him. at the end of the exercise, i told him that he prefers the T10 for its feel and the GSS for its ease of aim. he was actually quite shocked that i can tell that without the SAM. the best part was he used the T10 on day one and the GSS for the rest of the 3 days.
so my position is simple, use ZEN i am happy, do well after consultation, i am happy. if you win, i am most happy. thats the ART of WINNING for me.
