| I was told that sometime Malaysian with SG PR and driving SG cars, will pass thru unmanned gantry as their passport doesnt need to checked nor stamped. Some SGreans may have followed these cars and thought that it is the right thing to do. Its could have been the case.
In anycase, always makesure that you check yr passports are stamped. If not, you will be next in line squatting naked behind the prison.

Not true, all M'sian passports still need to be scanned into the system....these girls were kinda stupid to go through without getting their passports chopped.. though the M'sian customs went overboard in their treatment of them...what else do you expect from a misogynistic country, founder of the obedient wives club......????? I once drove through the Thai border where no one was manning the booths but still had the common sense to walk to an officer and get the passport stamped..... conclusion: Silly girls but the consequences didn't fit the crime (or the other way around)

| Have some improvement.....they have extended cable length to scanner, so now passengers can do their finger scanning without getting out of car, which were very troublesome. | |

| They should consider waiving this finger scanning requirement for Singapore Citizens as our passport ain't easy to fraud. Moreover, Singapore is a small country and quite easy to track down a person if need be ... | |

So now woodland is jus the usual que length.. Really? That's stupid. Security is security... not security on easy-traffic-days-only.

Also due to School holidays??? 35 minutes is nothing compared to the horror stories of 4+ hours. At least you got in safely No squats etc

| I saw this article...........I donno whether to be happy coz it mite be true...or sad coz it mite just be one of those again - Quote :
JOHOR BARU, Malaysia - The Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) is expected to replace the manual system at the Causeway and Second Link by year-end.
Immigration director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad said the fast-track clearance system, which involved the use of sticker tags and a biometric system, was faster and more efficient.

Its one of those "get rich quick attempt" to benefit somebody whenever they try to introduce a new system. After a while, the whole system falls apart and they're back to the old ways of doing things.......

| They should tie-up with McDonalds to allow a drive-through lane as well so people can eat while they wait for MACs.
Heck, set up a link with Apple so that they can buy Mac stuff too.
... it's a dreary Monday, forgive me.

Last week, I was told by a fren that you don't need to have the "min 4 visits a month" thingy to apply for the MACS card (advise those interested to read the full article and check criteria online). Anyway, I thought at RM30 a year, it is a very good offer to SGP passport holders to enjoy the convenience. I paid more to ICA just to get my SGP passport issued faster.
