Main worry is jam could be because are flocking back to Malaysia for the election. I am looking to play Poresia on Monday morning but was told it would be JAM! JAM! JAM!

So was wondering if it's true.

Got adv from friends in JB is best to avoid JB on this election weekend.....this coming election might see a change of power in JB thus might lead to some riots or fights.

dtan, I think it's best not to speculate what may happen especially with regards to security-related issues like that. It's detrimental and unnecessary notwithstanding that your fears are not unjustified.

Put it this way, it's the election weekend. People will be traveling to and from polling booths. There'll be a lot of people movement. It involves everyone. There'll be cars, bikes, vans etc. It'll be chaotic because of the level of activity.

Why get yourself stuck in traffic?

Regardless of the outcome, hang back this weekend. Take it easy.

heard from a malaysia friend saying the malaysia gov are trying to disallow singaporean to drive malaysian in for voting but "when there a will, there a way".

i think so. heard many Malaysians r going back to vote. u know vote for which oarty right! haha. waiting to see the results.

I am staying out of JB on election day. Not because i am scared of the jam, or the volatile situation. Its because most people queuing that day on the first and second links has got a cause far greater than mine. They are going back to vote, for the party they feel would be best for Malaysia. Although i cant gaurantee that there will be no jam, i do not want to the part of the jam cos golf is definately not a good reason to be part of that jam on the day.

Actually, my guess is it depends on where you are passing by. It cannot be the whole of Malaysia would have a traffic jam.

If play at Poresia, I think it's prudent to avoid the Gelang Patah town where the crowd is. That's where the rally and various political parties would be selling their wares and ideas to the electorates.

Heard fr my msian frens not safe as JB is one if the hottest fights. Need 1-2 mths to settle down?!?!!! I was golfing in Msia last Friday & peaceful like a sleeping mouse....
