That's very good. Can finish 18 holes before 9am and continue another 18 and finish before 1.30pm.

Good move by Ponderosa because June school hols the jams are gg to start. Those golfers who dun mind waking up that early will luv it. cheers

I'm actually looking forward to try this out.

Main reason I don't get permit to play weekends is because it eats into family time. With this, I can potentially reach home 11am. High chance permit will be approved.

U wake up at 4AM u can't make it to the course to tee off at 5AM ... U prolly can still tee off at 6.15AM perhaps ... And complete the round by 10ish ... huh? Laughing

In the gd ole days, I used to golf at Palm Villa on the weekends with one other frined (2 ball). We would reach PV at 620am, tee off at 7am sharp even if there is not much light, and then after a lightning 9 holes, "convince" the starter at the back 9 to let us play through and usually we will be back in Spore before 12pm.

This move to allow a 5am tee off is a very good move IMHO. May you all have great games ahead, and most importantly, be safe in JB when commuting at that hour.

I remember fondly I got one of my my eagles at one of the Par 4 holes in 2008 (Can't remember which hole). It's quite a short hole (I think about 240+M from white) Very Happy

Don't mean to pour cold water but I wonder how is the security situation that early in the morning? Hopefully they have roving patrol guards. Nonetheless, its a terrific idea to game at 5am and finish before 10am.

It's a risk that golfers have to take when playing in JB. Even in Poresia, I was told there was robbery within the course. Heard the robbery was by one of the construction workers. The golfer was robbed during a weekday in broad daylight. pale

Best to leave out valuable watches and jewellery and not carry to much cash but also not too little cos I have heard of victims being bashed up for carrying too little! What is too much and what is too little? Up to each to decide.

My maximum is Rm300 in preparation for petrol and topping up Touch & Go card and other miscellaneous items. Seldon have lunch in JB. Straight home after golf, petrol or possibly car wash. I find it risky to have lunch in JB. pale

Will be 60 this year. Won't be able to do it again anymore. The only chance to have another eagle is on Par 3s only, that is, to achieve a HIO. Laughing

heard plenty of stories , kena snatched , mugged, car hijacked , bullet hole in the windshield, I do have experience of my own but WTH , If everything is IF n BUT then better stop living. what come may as I m nobody and I do enjoy the golf n food in JB.

Tried this out.
Managed to tee off at 6am and we were in the first flight.
Good lighting, nice timing as dawn at 7am.
Ideally should be able to finish a game by 10am and head off for breakfast and a 2-hr massage.

I'm looking forward to doing more of this.
