| PC is a Proficiency Card that the Pro/Club issues to certify that you have some degree of golf skills and etiquette to go to the golf course. Most golf courses in Singapore will accept a PC for you to go on course on weekdays. For weekends, a handicap card will be required. | |

- Hi Anfieldknight,
They say as you go up the corporate ladder, you ball gets smaller. From football to golf ball, it's a big jump up the ladder. Congratulations!!Do note that playing ball alone is never fun. Golf is no exception.' It usually takes at two balls to play...
Happy Golfing!!
Bro, but billiard balls also small, huh? And Goli/marble balls that those 1st and 2nd generation children used to play even smalller than golf balls. BTW, do you know what does G.O.L.F. stands for?

| Yahoo... Just got my PC last week. And kind of like playing on the green. I'm ok with my 7 iron swing with around 80m to 100m distance but I'm pretty week with wedges and putting. Got a cheap wedge from cash convertor at $10 for practice, and went to creative golf today to get a putting Matt for $40 and odyssey dual force rossie 2 for $70 for practice at home.
Hopefully my next green I can do better with wedges and putting.

| Have you gone for lesson? Also, its not just the distance that matters. What matters most is how many times you can do the same thing and it goes to where you want. Go for lesson to get the right basics. Starting out golf without a coach will only lead to you having lots of bad habits which you will find very hard to correct. | |

| Fully agree! Have a coach will teach u right Basic foundation. If u learn from frens and by yourself is like making a BIG U turn.
Mistakes after mistakes, Go range is to improve your mistakes without a coach!

| A fren, who i assume plays well, may not necessarily know how to teach. | |

| Actually, I don't think its bad ideas to get tips from a friend, cos my coach uses "chim" golf terms which sometimes I have to ask many times to understand, but when i ask my friends, they use simple "organic" terms which is very easy to understand.
But ultimately, I believe in starting from the basic right. If your friends teaches well, let him assist you, if not, better get a coach to teach, cos I injured my back before when playing without proper training. And when I got myself a coach, then I realise I was holding the club wrongly, and standing like donald duck... no wonder can injure back. (Spent almost $200 at TCM).
Most importantly, must enjoy the game.

| yes..
I am slowly enjoying and appreciating the game.. which I never bother to look at it previously..
Gotten myself some nike clubs and driver and some bag and shoes on discount.. So as a beginner.. I think I have to start to feel the game and slowly move towards getting better items..

| Try to aim at least 120 m for 7 iron. There must be balance for accuracy and distance too. | |

I am trying very hard to reach 100m, I can hit straight with half swing, but only manage 80m. When I apply the full swing motion, my balls will go right or left and still barely 100m. Need lots of practise, I am still very tense when i see the white ball, without the ball infront, my swing looks good. My coach is telling me that my rythem is not sync correctly... I try to go range for 100 balls once a week too.
